Re: The Halloween Culture War
This is something that bothers me as well. I am an avid Christian (although these days, the word 'Christian' has so many negative connotations....let's just got with "follower of Christ) and I LOVE Halloween! I consider it my favorite holiday. I didn't realize how "weird" that is unti...

Re: Post Halloween Depression
Oh my goodness, I definitely went through this last year, especially since I felt I got cheated out of having a good Halloween due to absence of trick or treaters =(

Absence of trick or treaters and decorations last year... =(
I have always been an avid Halloween fan. I grew up in a small Southern Illinois town where almost everyone decorated. The town was alive with trick or treaters every year. My husband and I had our first married Halloween last year. We live in a duplex in a stretch of neighborhood in Tennessee. We w...

Oriental Trading decorations...Good or bad?
I have found some really affordable decorations on Oriental Trading, and just wanted to know if the quality of them is worth it? I know some things will be more cheaply made than others, but just wondering about an overall idea.

Re: Cloverfield
I didn't care for it at all! I thought it was really unrealistic. I mean, honestly, could someone actually crawl inside a building that was about to collapse and save someone? There are certain movies that I can follow as being unrealistic. But Cloverfield just took it too far. The characters were b...

Re: Would 'Scream' have ended differently?
Now, I DO think a different answer MAY have changed the outcome of the scene, because her parents arrived just as she was dying. And so, one could assume that if her attacker had been delayed by another correct answer in his game, her parents may have actually saved her from being murdered. It logi...

Re: Would 'Scream' have ended differently?
The question is, in the movie, when he asks her who was the killer in Friday the 13th, and she says it was Jason...which ultimately led to both her and her boyfriend being killed, because she answered it wrong....my question is, do you think things would have happened differently if she had answered...

Would 'Scream' have ended differently?
Ok, so my wheels are turning this morning, because I just woke up from a nightmare that was similar to the opening scene of 'Scream', but instead I was in high school and it was a sleepover, and we were being terrorized by a man on the phone. And what's weird is, the nightmare started out with my hu...

Re: Trick or treating curfew...
I remember the good ol' days of living in a small town...not only did I trick or treat at night, I could often trick or treat alone! I loved it, actually, because it meant I didn't have to keep up with anyone's pace but my own!

Re: Do adults ever go trick or treating?
I'm totally going to continue going trick or treating until people stop giving me candy, lol. This year will be the first year in awhile that I haven't gone. We went last year (I was 21 at the time) and people gave us plenty of candy! I was so surprised! But this year, my husband and I are newlyweds...
