Re: OH MY GAWD!!!!
All week I couldn't wait to go shopping this weekend for supplies for this coming fall and Halloween. I went out yesterday morning and picked up some black, orange and cream felt, black and grey texture paint (for my tombstones), and I got some Halloween-themed rolls of ribbon from Michaels. I was e...

Re: The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2011)
The original is 2nd only to Halloween as my favorite horror movie. Although it seemed more campy than scary. (A lot of the uncle's insults to Leatherface and the hitch hiker have become catchphrases for me. I tend to call my cat my little coon sh*t, LOL) I thought the 2nd one was a little too long f...

Re: Where Is The Most Haunted Place You Have Been To???
I'm going "cemetery strolling" tomorrow. I'm a stickler for cemeteries. There's this really big one I go to that has very unique architecture. My favorite is a big mausoleum that has matching statues of the Sphynx with breasts on either side of the steps. Once my husband and I get settled ...

Re: The Lords Of Salem (2012)
I was very surprised that Rob wanted to remake Halloween. He doesn't seem like the type that would take something that already exists and try to one-up John Carpenter. I remember there being a lot of hype when that movie was getting ready to come out even to the point where people were saying it had...

Re: Friday The 13th 2 (2011)
I didn't like the Friday remake. I'm tired of seeing horror movie after horror movie that's borderline porno. The original was better. I had issues with the timeline in the Halloween remake. It starts out like its set in the 70s and then we go to the present. Would'nt Laurie Strode be a lot older th...

Re: Top 5 Halloween Movies of All Time
I think that last scene of Blair Witch is really effective. I wish the college kids hadn't used the "f-word" every other word, though. I mean, I'm not prudish about language--believe me, I've heard it all--but it gets tiresome hearing that kind of vocabulary endlessly. Yeah, call me old-f...

Re: Botched Halloween Costumes, Decor, etc.
I wish I still had the mask so I could post a pic! I had another costume that was fairly botched. When I was about 19 my brother and I decided to go as floating jack-o-lanterns. (By the way I didn't stop TOTing till I was 20 :D Yes I look THAT young and still do at 25!) We carved out pumpkins to wea...

Botched Halloween Costumes, Decor, etc.
What's the worst Halloween-related item or costume you've ever made? Mine was a home-made Michael Myers costume. I have a latex allergy so buying a Michael Myers mask was out of the question. Also, I was out of work that year so I decided to make my own costume. I used one of my Halloween How-To boo...

Re: Is it too early to think about Halloween?
I'm sure everyone's heard of this place but the Halloween Outlet in Worcester, MA is open all year round. I haven't made a sojourn up there yet (I'm in PA) but I ordered their catalog and they have really neat stuff. Especially if you're into doing your own haunts. I always wanted to run a year-roun...

Do you have to get a permit or anything from your township to build your scenes? I've always wanted to do something big like that. By the way, where do you store all those props till Halloween?! LOL

Re: So...we're working on our Renaissance Castle..
It would be really cool if you were able to make the castle walls bleed. Like putting little holes in the walls and put sandwich bags of blood behind the holes. Puncture tiny holes in the bags and let them drop out onto the walls.

Re: Where Is The Most Haunted Place You Have Been To???
I live roughly 30 minutes away from Gettysburg. That place is pretty haunted. It's very easy to pick up EVPs there. And of every place I've ever been in my life it has the strangest atmosphere to it. You don't even have to know what happened there to know that SOMETHING happened there. They have rea...
