Re: What's your costume this year?

Honestly I'm not sure. It's been a long time since we've seen Mike on the forums. But I do remember he started the "little halloween" tradition, and I learned about putting smoke balls in pumpkins to give them an eerie smokey effect. This is something I've done myself that I learned here. ...

Re: Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween! A little late to the thread I know. Murf if I try roasting seeds I'll have to let you know. I was too tired to carve my pumpkin this year. (Maybe that's why I didn't get any trick or treaters? But the house was full on decorated otherwise ) I might still do a late carving...

Re: What's your costume this year?

Not a single soul came by our house yesterday. *sigh* Maybe I made the house look too scary... It's possible there just isn't enough interest in Halloween or trick or treating around here. But we do also live out in the boonies, so there's that. But the plus side is...at least we got plenty of...

Re: What's your costume this year?

Kept my costume simple this year since it’s a weeknight. Just wore a pumpkin shirt and put some cat ears, gloves, and tail on. I’m a cat in a pumpkin. These ears in particular were from a convention I went to with my boyfriend this year. We got to meet the legendary Jim Cummings! https://images-wixm...

Re: What's your costume this year?

I went as a witch last year. But to be honest? I hadn't put much thought into it. When Halloween falls on a weekday and you've worked all day, you really don't feel like doing much. But I still plan on handing out candy. I might see what I can dig up. I've got a ton of costumes that I can recycle. N...

Re: The Halloween fast food thread

It's hard to say, Murf. Some of the holidays I don't really get. I've often had to google those.

By the way, my boyfriend has made a jack o lantern pizza before, and it turned out really great! He's a great cook. :)

Re: The Halloween fast food thread

My holiday discord server has a bot on it that tells me what holidays are listed for that day, so I can absolutely confirm that every day is a holiday. For reference, here's a list of today's holidays: Thu, 17 Oct 2024 • Black Poetry Day • Conflict Resolution Day • Edge Day • Forgive an Ex Day...

Re: The Halloween fast food thread

I've seen those Ghostbuster's donuts advertised! Krispy Kreme is a bit of a drive for us though. But then again, so is Dunkin' Donuts. Apparently, Dunkin Donuts is having their own Halloween and fall offerings as well. They are offering a bucket of donut holes also called "munkin's." And o...

Re: Spirit Christmas Stores

Amazon you have to wait for stuff to come in the mail, although Spirit Halloween DOES have a website too, so you can order from them. I guess I like the experience of walking into a store and looking around and picking something out. Maybe I'm a little old fashioned that way? Growing up, going...

Re: Autumn Is Here!

I'm feeling behind too, Murf but I'm slowly catching up. I still have a lingering cough from the bronchitis, but I'm definitely a lot better than I was. I found my little Halloween village up in the attic, I'll be sure to display it when I get it set up. I already had a few things out, but with the ...

Spirit Christmas Stores

It looks like the company who founded "Spirit Halloween" stores are now going to open "Spirit Christmas" stores. Well I think that's just neat. :D If I see one pop up around my area, I'll be sure to check it out. https://www.msn.com/en-us/lifestyle/lifestyle-buzz/spirit-halloween...

"Dead of night" sounds interesting. Is it one of those three woven tales things, like Trick R Treat?

That's odd...they're showing up on my end. :/ I'll try linking from Deviantart and see if that works better? Re: R.I.P. Maggie Smith

Alan Rickman was a great actor, such a shame he's gone now. I guess you just never know.

Macabre as it may be, that doesn't mean there isn't some truth behind that. Though I certainly wouldn't wish it on anyone.
