My Coffin

This week I've been working on my own wooden coffin for the yard decorations. At first I was going to through together some extra plywood we had around into a coffin shape and spray paint it.
Well, I am doing all that, I just got a little carried away.
Here is what I have so far, I'll sand the wood filler tomorrow and finally paint it (that will be the 6th day of working on it.)
One of the hard parts was figuring out the dimensions.
I did the head at a width of 17", the widest point at 28" across, and it's 21" from the top of the coffin. The foot is 14" wide, and the entire thing is 6'6".
I did the lid the same as the bottom piece, so that it'll sit inside the coffin on the braces and lips I made. I still haven't figured out how I'll open it. You might want to make the lid big enough to sit on top of the coffin if you do your own.
I'll share pictures of it after I've painted it black. I may even line it with satin. I'm thinking purple... In any case, it'll definitely be my coffee table when I go off to college this spring.
