Just popped in to see if any familiar faces had been here recently. I don't see anybody else, but if anyone should read this, have a blessed holiday season!

Hi Murf!
I hope that you are enjoying the season as well.
The week between Christmas and New Years Eve is a great time for reflection and relaxation around here.
Lots of food and family, games and movies.
One of my sisters put together a Victorian inspired collage made from jewelry that she had picked up at garage sales and thrift shops during the year.
She mounted them on dark blue gaberdine that was stretched over a frame that she made out of old wood salvaged from a barn on her property.
Its gaudy, sparkling and colorfull, and approximately 16X20"...and I love it.
I have been trying out ideas for New Years.
So far I have put together a centerpiece using a large Revere bowl set inside a tinsel wreath, for the dining table.
I like the look but I'm going to find a silver wreath instead, and tuck in a string of white LED lights around it.

thanks!
The park where we live awards prizes during Christmas.
Our brothers' house tied for second place in the outdoor decoration category, and my sister and I got 3rd place for interior.
A couple of gift cards and the envy of the neighbors were bestowed upon our households.
And s happy New Year to you and yours!!

So your whole family is into festive decorations! How much fun! Congrats to all!
Btw, I didn't mention it, but I love Revere bowls. I have one I fill with shiney Christmas balls in various colors each year.

A lot of ' millennials' are getting rid of their parents and grandparents fussy stuff, silver China Crystal Etc.
There is much to be had out there, for little or no cost depending on where you go thrifting.
If you don't know the history behind the original Revere Bowl you should look it up it's quite interesting if you're into American history.
And by the way, I'm not capitalizing random words my telephone does that when I use the speech-to-text function.

Oh, neat, so you can just talk to it and it writes down what you say? I'm not sure mine can do that. Of course, it might help if I were ever to read the manual.
I have ordered some of that fancy stuff from firms that specialize in estate sales. That's the only way any of it is affordable.

Yes it is neat, unless you forget to turn off that function and go to look at your phone an hour later, and see a mile long string of gobbledygook!
On a rare occasion I will look online, but only at one website; Laurel Leaf Farm.
Their website is tedious and hard to navigate, but they have a fantastic selection with fair pricing.
