Which version of Black Christmas do you have? Well, I have the one remake, not the original classic.

I have the original "Black Christmas," which even predates "Halloween."

So, Black Christmas classic is much better than the remake? I'd like to know because I've never seen it - but I would love to rent it anytime. ;)

And, do you like "The Wicker Man" classic better than the remake? I prefer the classic one. 8)

I never saw the remake of " Black Christmas," but I have found through personal experience that the original is usualy better then any remake.

"The Wicker Man," is a whole other kettle of fish. I did enjoy the remake in as much as the cinematography was great and had a few odd twists and turns, but it was not true to form. The remake of "The Wicker Man" was actualy a combination of two stories, "The Wickerman" and the horror tv miniseries "Harvest Homes." They used aspects of both stories, whicn IMHO detracted from both original stories. The original "Wicker Man" was much troer to the story teller's intent, and I would like to see it on my large screan. The last time I saw it was back in 1982 when it aired on "On TV," subscription tv service. The tv it was hooked up to needed a new high-voltage transformer, and the image was very dingy and muddy, so the colors and everything were off, but I did enjoy the story.

I've heard that. I also know that there are a lot of pegan celebrations and rituals celebrated at all times of the year, but I seriously doubt they involve human sacrofice.

There is no human sacrifice or even animal sacrfice associated with pagan celebrations anymore, humans are more civilized now. Offerings are ususally of plants or food, or symbols of animals. There are others that celebrate pagan holidays as well, not just Scots.

Anyways . . . my favorite Christmas movies are "White Christmas", "A Christmas Story", and sadly "Home Alone". Do you realize that movie is already 18 years old?!?!?

When it comes to Christmas movies, I'm more of a traditionalist. And not that I have had more time to think about it, I think it's a toss-up between "It's a Wonderful Life," "A Christmas Carol " (any well produced version) and "A Charlie Brown Christmas" for being my favorite Christmas movies, but I also very much enjoyed "The Nativity" when it was out at the theatres, and I do plan to screan that flick on Christmas Eve whild the Advent Wreath candles burn down to stubs.
