Fall Wreath
I have a little sister and a young niece that love Halloween as much as I do. We wanted to do something fun, like make decorations that we can use in the fall as well as Halloween itself so I went to Walmart (even though I usually dread that place) and found some reall cheap stuff to make Halloween wreaths.
This is what we bought:
2 large plain wreaths made out of branches $2.96 a piece
1 small wreath $1.98
3 tiny scarecrowes on sticks(we cut the sticks off) $0.50 a piece
1 pkg of beautiful silk leaves(they were natural looking in red, orange , green and brown) $0.94
1 roll of real pretty bendable ribbon
3 little centerpieces that had tiny pumpkins, pinecones and other fall-like plants and berries $0.94 a piece
1 bag of pumpkin pir pot pouri
When we got home we laid out the wreaths on a flat service. We used the little centerpieces and placed them on either the bottom or top of the wreaths. We tied the ribbon into a bow underneath the centerpiece. Then we used a glue gun the glue the silk leaves all around the wreath in different directions. We also glued the scarecrowes were ever we felt looked the best(we each picked a different spot) last we glued bits of potpouri which smelled so good and was mostly twigs and berries and stuff.
Once we were finshed we each had a beautiful Fall wreath that was handmade and smelled great. Once I figure out how to put pictures on a post I will post a pic of mine.
The great thing is that it didn't cost much to make and we still had materials left over so we can probably think up something else to use them for. We had fun making them and it was so easy. I a wreath at a garden store by my house and they wanted $35.00 for it. We made three for less than that!

Re: Fall Wreath
I may have to hit the town and attempt one of my own. Thanks!
Re: Fall Wreath
Oh that one was my beginner's wreath. I make them fuller now and they are much more beautiful and ready for fall! I have made so many for friends and family, and some of them keep them up all year round. Oh how I just love the fall and all the fun crafts that come with it.
