Un-scary Halloween movies

As much as i WANT them for my Halloween party, my best friend can't watch scary movies without being scared shitless....and since the house im hosting it at is already 150 years old, and is spooky enough, i was wondering if you guys had any suggestions on movies that are good for Halloween, but not really nightmare-inspiring scary. SOME fright would be prefered.....a few jumps and screams once in a while. I was thinking some dark Halloween set movies....like these:

Ravenous always makes me laugh... It's about some "windego" or cannibalistic man who is taken in by a fort. It's not really scary, pretty bloody... and the music makes me die laughing. I bought it for $5 several years ago. It was worth every penny.

Mary Rilley is another not-too-scary themed film. It's a Jekyll/Hyde movie from the mid-90's. Not really scary. A little bloody... but nothing to really put the creeps on ya.

If you're looking for classic scary, I'd suggest The Watcher in the Woods. I watched it a couple years ago and it gave me the creeps... which is saying something since I went to see The Ring at the theater late at night... alone and ended up laughing through most of it.

The Goonies isn't exactly a "horror" film, but it does have it's moments that make you jump... and you can't beat the nostalgia. "Heeeey you guuuuys!"

The Lost Boys is another trip down memory lane... once again... not terribly "scary". More nostalgic... but elements of "jump" in it.

If you're going for Psychological thrillers... if no one has seen 'em, these two are good: The Others or The 6th Sense... though, they might not be everyone's cup-of-tea. Gothika , on the other hand, was more of a freak-you-out psychological thriller. Some gore... lots of violence.... and a few jumpy scenes.

You may want to preview my suggestions and determine your own scale of scare factor. I don't get scared easily...

... and I don't know if this was the film you meant, but the 1988 flick Lady in White was a pretty good horror flick that wasn't terribly scary.

I don't know if it's too scary, but what about the original Haunting? Especially if this is an old house, I think that would be a great movie to watch.

Lady in White is a good one, I really like that movie.

What about Hocus Pocus? Hehe. I won't even lie, I love that movie so much.

There's always the Scary Godmother cartoon movies...but they're more for kids than anyone else...

Hide and Seek is a slightly scary movie, I personally didn't like the movie, but I know a lot of my friends did. I remember jumping once during it... not too scary.

Another movie is Panic Room. I'm not sure if that would be too scary for your friend, but I always liked that movie. It's more of a thriller than a scary movie, but it has a scary type atmosphere to it.

How could we have missed Young Frankenstein & Murder By Death?!?

Both are funny and atmospheric, but then again the humor in MBD might fly right over a lot of kids' heads.

I thought "The Monster House" was nice, unscary and more geared to kids if kidd are the reason why you want to go with un scary Halloween movies.

monster house is definately not scary at all! bit of a snorefest for me but i think kids would luv it. an old movie i watched when i was a kid was monster squad. i think it's more of a guy movie but i think i enjoyed it.

The original "Night of the Living Dead" is good. Way too hoaky to be considered scary. My 12 year old daughter doesn't like scary either and watches this one. It's a classic.

Some people told me Night Of The Living Dead scared them. They proboly saw it back when it was considered scary. But I think it is kinda cheesy. But it was scary back in it's day.
