Invite's for Pumpkin Carving party
Posted: Tue Sep 30, 2008 5:49 pm
All the kids are grown and on their own and I am planning our first but hope annualy Halloween party.
This year I thought I would do a Pumpkin Carving Party. Everyone brings a dish that has something to do with pumpkins, either cooked, or served in and decorated as.
I should have 21 people including 7 grandbabies. I would like everyone to come in costume and BYOP. (bring your own pumpkin. )
This is the invite that I have came up with, but something about it just doest sound right. I just don't know... Too bossy maybe.
I am hoping someone here can tell me what is missing, or any advise.
******************
Double, double, toil and trouble,
Fires burn, and caldrons bubble...
Calling all witches, goblins and ghosts
we invite you and will be your host.
In the caldron Pumpkins boil and bake,
To which you should bring, for your own sake.
Eye of newt, tongue of dog or lizards’ leg,
Just dress it in pumpkin or you will beg.
For on the day of October twenty and five,
The caldron bubbles over at half past 6.
Bring your pumpkin to cut and scrape
Save the date and don’t be late.
