Dora the Explorer with a twist

Post by milyfallwashere » Sun Oct 19, 2008 8:25 am

I have this idea for a costume for my work's costume contest.
Dora the Explorer is used often for parties and no Dora the Explorer party is good without a Dora the Explolere Pinata!
I have the outfit and want to cut seams and have candies falling out here and there, plus some stuck in my Dora wig. I would glue stray pieces of the paper mache tissue thats used to make pinatas on my costume. With make up effects I want to add some slashes and cuts. You know like what typically happens to a pinata.
Can I get anyone's opinion on this costume? :|

That is such a great idea!! I just might do that with my little girl, maybe not dora. I will have to fasten that candy on really well (or buy fake candy) so she doesn't eat it all before the night is done. Seriously one of the best ideas for a homemade costume.
