Newhart season 2.

Season 1 has been out for several years and they finally started releasing the others.

I guess the Big Bang Theory guest roles reminded people how laugh-out-loud funny Bob Newhart is.

this technically isn't "right now", but on Sunday to get myself in the proper mood before finishing up the front yard decorating, I watched the history channel's "The Real Story of Halloween" on youtube. great 45 min doc from a few years ago.

Is this one different from History Channel's Haunted History of Halloween?

They're different documentaries, but have the same basic info. I have both of them. I was a history channel junkie when I had cable. Then they went the route of reality TV. Grrr.

I'm watching Halloween Wars. I didn't catch any of these when they were originally on, but have been watching them on Amazon. Pretty cool. I've gotten through the first 2 seasons and have way through season 3.
We're the farmer's scarecrows
We scare away the birds,
We keep the farmer's corn safe
Without any words.
But when Halloween comes
We jump out of the ground
And we scare the boys and girls
When they come walking 'round.

The next season of Halloween Wars starts this Sunday so you will be able to watch that soon.

the big difference between "Haunted History of Halloween" and "The Real Story of Halloween" is the production value. One looks like a no-frills doc from 1997, the other one is a HD-and-CGI suped up 2010 doc. If you've seen something like "America: the Story of Us", think in terms of that "feel". Its good.

I know where ya at. I'm sposed to be working today but I would've been outside in El Cajon where it's expected to be 103º today. Stupid Santa Annas! Just hope there's no big fires.

Here's some more watching for you. Hope you have a Chromecast, a Vudu, or the like. More fun watching this stuff on the TV.

I read your reply this morning while bundled up from the 40 degree temps around here. Even for early October in the midwest, this is cold. Yesterday took the 2 year old to a local corn maze & hayride, it was 50 degrees, sunny & breezy, smelled like Halloween. perfection.

Watching The Flash.

"Cool..."

Now I have to go back and watch the episodes of Arrow that I missed to see how he ties in.

I watched "The Town That Dreaded Sundown" (1976) last night. Quite an effective film that is done like a documentary. While I was watching it, it is obvious that Friday the 13th part 2 was "inspired" by this movie. I think I already knew that but had just forgotten it.

And of course there is a remake/sequel made, which will be released next week.
