We just picked up Happy Halloween, Scooby-Doo! for our little ghouls to watch and they really liked it. I thought it was a good movie with some funny moments. I won't go into spoilers, but I will say that everyone's favorite horror hostess Elvira Mistress of the Dark has a featured role in it, so there's something for us older fans as well.
If you're looking for a fun movie to watch with your kids this Halloween then I recommend it. Actually, any Scooby movie is great to watch this season regardless if your young or old.

I never really was a huge Scuby Do fan, but I did watch it on Saturday Morning Cartoons when I was a kid. I would LOVE to find an animated version of "The Legend of Sleepy Hallow." I saw on on television way, WAY back in 1971, and I loved it.

Mike, would that be the Disney cartoon, narrated by Bing Crosby? It is available on DVD. I bought it at Walmart, but you could probably find it on line. It has a name like Ichabod and Mr Toad, I think, because it has two separate cartoons on it. Mr Toad is a Wind in the Willows character, I think.
As a former English prof, I find it notable that this cartoon version is actually the most faithful, in both narrative detail and tone, to Washington Irving's original story.

That is correct, Murf.
I have Ichabod & Mr Toad on dvd, my Amazon account, and YouTube.
I watch it any time of the year.
I love the Bing Crosby narration, but my favorite version of the ballad is the Kay Starr revording.

We took our copy to church one year and played it at the kids' fall fest. It was OK because the faithful version isn't really supernatural, but just a practical joke.

Haven't seen this, will have to check it out. I don't have kids but I'd probably still enjoy it because I'm a big kid at heart

At church the adults seemed more into it. It was nostalgic for them, as most remembered it from their own childhoods. It is beautifully made, though, vintage Disney.

That's how it is with a lot of the old classic Holiday tv specials that those in my age group knew and loved. My grand nieces, however, do love some of them.
