News Headline: Police arrest 10 people in online prostitution sting

Police targeted what they called a prostitution operation advertised on the online classified site Craigslist and arrested 10 people last week.
The arrests were made at 2 p.m. Wednesday at a hotel on North Military Highway, but police would not disclose the address. The arrest were announced Monday.
Vice and Narcotics investigators used ths site in a sting operation, said Karen Parker Chesson - a police spokeswoman. Investigators set up meetings with several people who are accused of seeking to solict money for s-e-x, according to a police release. During the arrests, investigators seized marijuana, computers and about $700 cash, according to the release.
Three people who face charges are cooperating with investigators, Parker-Chesson said. The hotel's managers also are cooperating. Those arrested included 17-year-old girl charged with soliciting for prostitution and using a vehicle to promote prostitution, police said. Six others were charged with offenses that included soliciting for prositution, computer obscenity offenses, possession of marijuana and child neglect.
