Piano Floor Lamp

In the 70's my parents had a floor lamp at the baby Grand. Brass, the traditional shade, if I remember correctly, was swinging above my head. The coolest thing is that the switch was in the tube between the base and the pendulum. 3-position, pull down the tube = one click. I have not seen anything like this on the line. Does anybody remember such a thing or know anybody who sells it?

Maybe you could check out antique stores? Or just go to a lighting store and describe what you are looking for.

Have any old family photos taken in that room and of that lamp? That would be the best way to find a replacement.

If by 'swinging above my head' you meant swivel, then here is an e ample.

I see those kind of lamps in antique stores all the time, Andy. The only thing I don't get is what that has to do with a grand piano.

I think OP was just trying to convey his/her memory to us.

I see what you mean. I suppose a lamp like that would be easier to adjust so the piano player can sight read the sheet music better.

Right, I think the offset light is helpful to the player.
