Okay I hope to be able to talk this topic up with someone.

To start things off I have been playing World Of Warcraft for 5 months now and I enjoy it. My group of friends has a Horde Guild on the Rexxar server named Bringers Of The Dead and we have an Alliance Guild on the Draka server named House Of The Four Winds, with the vetting guild Shadow Freelancers.

But I was brought into W.O.W by my brother. I wanted to discover my own MMORPG. So first I purchased Vanguard. The system requirements list was not on the outside of the game box, but I brought it home and found that my computer didn't have enough muscle to handle the game. So I gave the game away. Should have done my homework on it, but I didn't.

Later I checked the specs on Final fantasy XI Online, found out that my computer can handle it. Brought it home and found that before you're even allowed to complete registration you have to enter a valid debit or <deleted>. I currently have neither. Duped again. Obviously i'm not research guy.

So back to the drawing board. I look up some info on MMORPG's and I decide to roll with one of the titles that originally took gamers to the dance. I bought EverQuest II. Can my computer handle it? Yes. Do I have to have a credit/debit card to complete registration? No. Does the world look huge? Oh it's big. My game came with the Kingdom of the sky expansion and there are three other EQ2 expansions I don't even have yet.

So this weekend starts my adventures in Norath, set to a time 500 years after the events of the first EverQuest.

MMORPG are fun but I'm not a big fan of paying for a game that cost me money when I can't play that much due to my busy life.

However, there are a few MMORPG that allows you play for free, but as you know, grind are long are hard.. which can be made easier with a paid account.

One of them is Navyfield, which I play, with a free acount on and off for about 4 years now

http://www.Navyfield.eu

Its good if you are a WWII ship lover hehe. I play on EU server now as the American server is full of whinny little kids who got a hold of their parent's <deleted>, the EU server is much more friendly and fun loving, which is what makes a good MMORPG in the first place 8)

PS: Also the game's graphic is very basic, so any computer can play it. It is addicting in a weird way though

I have a two games you could try they are both free and require money if you want more advanced features and extras. They are called Adventurequest and Runescape.Adventurequest is a game if you like the world of lore you fight monsters and go on quests you don't really move it is mostly clicking but i enjoy it as a pasttime.Runescape is a different type of game you click where you walk and mostly no clicking floating buttons on the screen it is hard but this one is based not on lore you might fight goblins and dragons but no monsters. If you want to know more about these games go to my topics in this forum that mention these games. Both of these games have low requirements and go to www.battleon.com for adventurequest and go to www.runescape.com for runescape.

I had to give up the MMORPGs... no time to play... too many other projects.

I played WoW and City of Heroes/Villains. I liked the latter better than the former.

Well, one MMORPG you could try out that is free but also has a paid member account is Second Life. It is really fun I have been playing it for 6 months now. I think the game explains itself. It is basically a game where you create your own avatar/character, and It can be any type of game you want it to be. It is a virtual world.
