Keaton is still my favorite Batman too...he just had the Bruce Wayne character down and you knew there was something behind his eyes that screamed trauma or a twinge of psychoticness. I like the Christian Bale portrayal but not nearly as much as I did Keaton. He had it down. Heath Ledger's Joker was terrifying and awesome at the same time. A real world Joker for sure. Jack is Jack...pure awesome and perfect fit for that type of Joker.

I still like Batman Dead End the best for the Batman character...loved the simplicity of the suit and the Gray and black suit the best...also that cowl. I'm proud to own a cowl I think is the closest representation of Batman...it looks sleek and scary all at once. I hope they change the suit to the Gray and black one...but that's just me.

I didn't care for the Bat suit really in Dark Knight...I understand it's function is more practical but come on...it's Batman...we can embellish a little here.

ha ha ha...it had its time and place...I still enjoy those reruns and the 'movie' they made. Loved the '66 batmobile...slick car.

the only kind of work Adam West can get really is voice overs in cartoons...and he was not a very good actor either. He fit that campy show perfect but by no means was a definitive Bruce Wayne or what Bob Kane had envisioned he should be.

Bob Kane liked Michael Keaton a lot...thought his portrayal of Bruce Wayne and Batman was spot on.

Ok, so how about Christian Bale?

I loved the re-invention of the Batman franchise and Christopher Nolan has taken it in a good direction and Bale is a very good actor...but I am not so sure he conveys the twisted side of Bruce Wayne/Batman very well. I loved the movies though...Batman Begins and The Dark Knight were both really good.

I was watching a biography of Bill Murray the other day, and it said he turned down the Batman role that went to Keaton!!! How bizarre would that have been?!?

I actually did enjoy both movies, but still I like Michael Keaton as Batman. Anyway, I believe Nolan is going to shoot the third part of Batman movie for 2011 or 2012. Let me see if I can find out more information. So, please stay tuned.

Third Batman film will come out in 2012. It is called "The Dark Knight Rises" with same actor Christian Bale. Anyone want to see it? I prefer to wait for it to come out on DVD.
