Thanks Pum'kinpye

I wanted to ask though just in case! I have spent all evening designing labels for my jars. That has been an interesting experience I can tell you!

As soon as I have them made I will take some piccies for all to see!

I am just hoping the contents I choose look authentic!

Britishwitch: I can't wait to see your labels. Mine are so plain but I have 0 artistic talent and don't know how to manuver around in any paint shop programs.

These are the ones I've done or am doing (they are all at different stages) some are copied from some I've seen posted on here
:
Dead Mans Fat

African Green Mamba

Jellyfish Stingers

Toasted Bat Wings

Pixie dust

Pickled Liars tongue

Giant long legged Kangaroo spider legs

Love potion #10

Ghost tears

Night crawlers

Madagascar Hissing cockroaches

Alien baby

Dracula's Heart

Black rat

Frankenstiens Brain

Mixed Snakes

Pickled Insects

Beetle Juice

Soy fly sauce

They all have a little line after decribing the product, like
Black Rat
Main ingredient for Weed Rat stew

or

Beetle Juice
Stomped fresh

Then of course my Poison Apple Logo on the back!

Pum'kinpye,

You have just given me the answer I needed. Like you I was trying to add a little comment after each title on the Jar.....Beetle Juice the first title I came up with but couldn't find the comment, would you mind very much if I stole your idea about the "Freshly Stomped", I think it is brilliant :!: :!:

I have been playing around with titles and clip art for a few days now and I think I am ready to start printing them.

As soon as I have a bottle or two ready I will photograph them and let you see.

I have also been busy with something else too. Somewhere on here I found a thread that showed how to make Papier Mache Witches hats. The pictures were stunning! I was desperate to have a go so that is what I did. I am quite pleased with the results so far although they are a long way from being finished. I have taken some piccies tonight and thought I would share them with you all.

I would love your opinions but please remember they are not finished by any stretch of the imagination.

Take a look

I am hoping that once I have finished papering and then they are painted they will hopefully look ok.[/img]

I love the hat. I'm having a witch lair for my haunted theme this year. I'm just about to head out to Walmart now to find some stuff for papier mache. Your hats are a great idea. I was going to make some witch heads for my props, and now I'll make a hat too!

I'll post pics if all goes well.

Hi

Just got back from searching through the Charity Shops (I believe you call them Thrift Shops?) and I was really pleased with my purchases. These are for my Witches Kitchen. What do you think?

All I have to do now is finish my labels and attach to these.

Dry ice rocks....but it's bloomin' expensive! I also tried a fog machine, but the one I had was loud and the "fog" made me gag. :(

You can buy cheap cauldrons at any craft store, or even Wal-Mart! You can put body parts hanging out the sides.

Our Walmart is small and doesn't have a whole lot this year. No cauldrons.
I've been there twice and there isn't really anything else I want from there...I need bigger stores...lol

Boy am I a happy little soul tonight......ASDA HAVE FINALLY GOT THEIR GOODIES IN!!!! :D :D :D

I spent a fortune today..but hey!

I bought skull goblets, skull shot glasses, a spider web shaped tea light holder, a bag of bones (full skeleton in a bag), a pair of ground braking hands for the graveyard. 4 small gravestones, and lots of creepy creatures for my bottles! My only dissapointment was a bought a fantastic fog machine, skull shaped with glowing eyes but when I got it home it didn't work so I will have to take it back

My daughter and I were like children in a candy store!
