Re: fence lamps
Too cool. Are you going to dye the twine and, what will you use for the light source?
All you that doth my grave pass by,
As you are now so once was I,
As I am now so you must be,
Prepare for death & follow me.

Last night 'twas witching Hallowe'en
Dearest; an apple russet- brown
I pared, and thrice above my crown
Whirled the long skin; they watched in keen;
I flung it far; they laughed and cried me shame
Dearest, there lay the letter of your name!

Re: fence lamps
I went to walmart last night and bought a string of C7 lights (certain size of Christmas lights) then bought some amber bulbs to put in it. I figured I'd try some yellow bulbs to see how it looks.....

Re: fence lamps
I'm planning on all 12 of the mason jars.
The tea lights last for a long time, believe it or not, the dollar store tea lights last the longest and seem brighter then the more expensive ones, but I dont think they are bright enough to look good with these jars but let us know if you try em.

Re: fence lamps
i think thats what i'm going to try.. if they're not light enough how are you going to wire your jars up with lights without wires hanging out the top? are you going to drill through the bottom?
i'm able to drill through glass but man its a pain

Re: fence lamps
no, I'll have to hide the wires with the twine "hangers".

Re: fence lamps
oh yea i forgot about that.. that does make things so much easier lol let me know how you do it (i'm not good with wiring things)
wouldn't it be cool to have those lamps triggered off my a motion senser? like the one you posted about that would give a "ghastly" feel to those who walk up on em in the dark and then all of a sudden these lamps light up all around them

Re: fence lamps
once all the set up is done, all you would need to do is plug it into one of those sensors, so easy.....

Great idea!adrian wrote:wouldn't it be cool to have those lamps triggered off my a motion senser?
Taking it even further, have some torches on a wall with a gas line. The sensor triggers a small gas valve
and electronic igniter in the torch and lights an actual flame. Have a bunch of torches along a long walk
connected to multiple senors so as someone walks along, the torch in front of them lights up. Turn the
main gas valve off to extinguish them all at once then catch the next person.
I'm gonna have to see if we can work this into next year's party entrance. Depends on where we have it.

$2.25 on eBay. I'll have to ask my friends if they want to do it before I put any effort into it.
