Hi

Just got around to photographing my latest additions.

Four ceramic serving plates!

I thought they were quite a bargain it £8 the lot ($16 I think that is :? )

Well I haven't been doing so great at keeping up on this thread with decor and what not that I've bought, but here's a ceramic serving tray that I bought at the grocery store a few days ago.

Here's a picture of what I've had up right outside my front door for the past 6 weeks or so. It's kinda my Pre-Halloween Decorating, not much but it helps with my spirits

You guys the other side of the pond are so lucky to be able to put your stuff out so early. I have been itching since August to start the decorating but people here would think me a little "strange" :?

I personally can't see the difference....people here put Christmas decorations up 5 or 6 weeks before Christmas....I just wish that I could do the same with my Halloween Goodies.

I make a token effort though....I have two beautiful ceramic Ghosts that I bought 4 years ago and from the day they came into the house they have adorned my conservatory. It is my little way of keep the Halloween Spirit going all year :D

Hey BritishWitch, Those Ceramic Serving plates are just wicked! I really love that one with the big bat in the very center.

Oh Heck BritishWitch, You go girl! And decorate whenever you feel like it. Hell I leave a portion of mine up all year round, and I really couldn't give a hoot what these damn neighbours think, keeps them at a distance which is nice  So what if they call me a Witch, I don't mind

Hi DOD

I thought the plates were so beautiful I couldn't leave them in the shop. I think my favourite it the JOL but I love them all! :)

I think the neighbours where I live think I am strange anyway as ours is the only house in our road that goes all out at Halloween. Last year my daughter and I we out in the street welcoming our guests as they arrived to the party, there we were in full costume/make up and I did get some very strange looks but what the heck....we had FUN!

The other day as I was leaving work I thought I would pop into a shop near by to where I work...it sell a lot of Antique/oddities. Well I am on the look out for a large iron/metal couldron and I thought to myself that if any shop might have one they might....so in I went and politely asked if they had any couldrons?....

"What.....Witches type couldrons?????" came back the reply

Yes I answerd

Well......you would have thought that I had asked about whether they sold pieces of the moon or something!

Needless to say they didn't have one.

Now everytime I walk past there is always a lot of nudging and whispering. but hey ho!!!

:D

lol Britishwtich I know exactly what you mean about the strange looks but people look at me strangely anyway - all year round! This is most likely because I have multicoloured dreadlocks and they change every few weeks. It could also be because I wear unsual clothes. It could also be because I'm very loud and excitable and tend to have a geekgasm over ridiculous things - such as finding a Halloween decoration in a charity shop

Living in Brighton has made it easier for me though - and I honestly don't think that anyone would bat an eyelid if I had my Halloween decorations out all year round :D
