as far as what i like to do.. well, first, praise god for giving me this personality but i'm a party 24/7 by myself hahaha this past year i spent my halloween by dressing up, passing out to the 10 ToTers who came by (this neighborhood i moved to sucks) and watching "Hocus Pocus" on the big screne which i move out on my front porch for me and the tots (Tradition of mine)

I do the trick or treating thing every year.. i take my brother around my neighborhood and then i stay to pass out candy (mom covers for me while i'm gone) *foot note* i don't live with her she comes by to enjoy the holiday too :)

I also like going to hay rides, bon fires, and haunted houses as well as watching scary movies new and old

what about you? any interesting halloween stories? bon fire stories?
I haven't seen one of those in years! I never really go to McDonalds anymore so I have no idea if the ones up here still do it or not. I'll have to investigate this...

lol Nice! We don't even get TOTers at my house. There are a bunch that run around my town, but for whatever reason no one actually comes to my house. Usually my house gets vandalized though because people don't like my relatives. :? (I live with my mom still, until I get settled into college this year and try to find some people to rent an apartment with next year. My aunt, uncle, and their 4 children live in the upstairs because they lost their house, so my mom's helping them out.) So, yeah. The kids around here hate them, resulting in them doing stuff to our house. We can't do anything about it since we don't know 100% which kid is doing stuff.

I actually went trick-or-treating at a couple houses last year after passing out candy with the ex-friend. I'm so short that if I had a mask on that I could be mistaken as a 12 year old. (I'm only 5'0." I get it from my mom.) I was tempted to throw on a mask this year and go around getting candy since I'm now a poor college kid. lol

I've never really been to a bonfire, though I've always wanted to. No one ever has them around here, and I can't have one at my house because we're not allowed to burn anything after night or we'll get the fire department called on us. My town's pretty stupid, as you can tell. Not much has happened in recent years, but a few years back my friends and I went to this place called Fright Farm, which was just amazing. I heard it went downhill recently, but I still want to check it out. Random story though: I was actually due to be born on Halloween. Unfortunately I arrived two weeks late, but I still claim Halloween as my original birthday. I enjoy Halloween more than my real birthday, more than Christmas, everything. I adore it. How about you? Got any good Halloween stories?

WOW :) so things are pretty busy your way then? :) well I think you SHOULD just go trick or treating :) heck i would lol like i said in one thread, i use any excuse to go trick or treating.. i take my little bro every year and he insist that i have a bag too and do it with him :) he's 8 now.. its so much fun!!
and 5'0 isn't bad :) thats cute!!

As far as bon fires are concerned, we have one nearly every night!! the suburb i live in doesn't care as long as its controlled and i've built quite an impressible fire pit!! i wish we all lived near each other.. you guys would enjoy it really

well down here, way out in the woods we have what we all call the witches grave yard!! a long time ago during the civil war, they murdered and buried "so called" witches there. around them are indian burial mounds that have been there forever. a TON of stuff (and i mean a books worth) happened out there.. we all (20 or so) experienced all the emotions a human could... love (relationships) fear, everything.... it was wild!!! i'm thinking about putting it to words one day (a book) hahahaha sorry for ramblin :(
Last night 'twas witching Hallowe'en
Dearest; an apple russet- brown
I pared, and thrice above my crown
Whirled the long skin; they watched in keen;
I flung it far; they laughed and cried me shame
Dearest, there lay the letter of your name!

I could definitely get away with it. Maybe I'll tag along with my cousins whenever they go this year, but I doubt I'd get very much unless I do throw on a mask. Last year there were some people who actually told me that they shouldn't give me any candy because I'm "too old for Halloween." BLASPHEMY!!! Most people were pretty laid back and just enjoyed seeing everyone's costumes, but of course there had to be like those three grouches that had to ruin everyone's fun.
And I'm almost always told I'm adorable for being so short. lol It's not too bad, until my mom gets me to get her groceries. I love bacon alfredo, but of course the grocery store has to put the jars of sauce on the TOP shelf WAY in the back. I've climbed on the shelves to reach those things. lol And it's hard for people to spot me in a crowd of tall people. I used to have my hair dyed BRIGHT pink, which was awesome. It was a beacon for all of my friends to find me. :D

I live in a little borough, which likes to give certain people special privileges. People are only allowed to burn garbage on Wednesdays and Saturdays and it must be out before it's dark. My relatives were burning their garbage on a Saturday, and some woman with asthma (yet she still smokes.) called the fire department on them. It was the middle of summer when the sun goes down at like 9 PM, and it was only about 6 PM when this all happened. So we didn't have to pay a fine that time, but we would if any of us were ever caught burning again. So we're not even allowed a bonfire even during the day on one of the burning days (and who wants one just during the day anyway?), but yet our neighbors are on the committee and therefore allowed to do whatever they want whenever they want. Okay, I'm done ranting about this completely pointless subject. lol

Oh wow, that's incredible. I'd love it if I could find something like that around here. I found this one website that lists a whole bunch of supposedly haunted places in different towns, and I looked up everything close to my area. There's a bunch in Pittsburgh, but I haven't been to any. Apparently there's a haunted church about 7 miles from me, so I'm hoping to check it out sometime soon!

You definatley should :) we all have SO much fun out there.. but then again, this group of friends (the ones that go with me there) are a little different than "normal" people.. like... you won't catch me out at the mall with these guys or bringing them over for thanksgiving dinner with mom hahahaha they're a wild bunch.. but all the same we have too much fun. though you won't find this place on any web site.. its really cool though because you HAVE to know where its located or you will NOT find it.... i'll take some pictures this year in the day time so you guys can see it!

so no bon fires at all? wow i guess being down here we don't really have to worry about that.. the law enforcement is just as hick as the residents who reside here (me included) hahaha i don't think i'm hick (i don't dip, chew, nor drive a four wheel drive).. i just have heretige lol

so do you make any decorations yourself? ever tried?

That's pretty much how my group of friends are. We can act normal when we need to, but where's the fun in that? Although my best friend's mom claims that I'm a bad influence because I have piercings, tattoos, and I had blood red hair when she first met me. Whoops. lol

Everyone around here is a redneck. It's one thing to be raised in the country like I have, and I did love it when I just lived in the middle of nowhere. But everyone I know is the stereotypical hick. If you've ever seen Larry the Cable Guy, that's what everyone in my family is like. Everyone else is basically a bunch of racist hicks that happen to love rap music do so every drug they can get their hands on. >_<

I've actually attempted this salt-dough stuff about a month ago, and they actually turned out alright. The bottoms ended up cracking, so I'm not sure how to go about fixing that. I also bought two wreathes, which I have yet to decorate. One will be just a fall theme, and one is going to be more Halloween/goth oriented. How about yourself?

I've thinking about making mask and showing em off here and maybe trying to make a little money off of em some how hahahaha that way i can afford to buy more decor :)
