In the summer season, I always think about traveling and new countries. The barbecue can wait.

A few years ago, road trips by motorcycle were a huge part of the celebration of Summer. Now a days, I would need a trike, but I always find time for good barbecue. I do plan to take a 'haunted road trip' in August as soon as I replace my old beater.

I'm planning an August trip, too, Mike. We can compare notes on the other side!

That sounds like a plan, Murf. I do plan to take photos. My 'game plan' is to head up to Green Lake Wisconsin, and take a few photos of a haunted cemetery and of the "witches road."

Hopefully I'll be in a new vehicle early enough in August.

And the best idea is to travel and barbecue in the coolest places in the world!

Well, the Autumnal Equinox is on the 22nd of this month. It will officially be Fall. I am going to have myself a taffy apple.

Happy, safe, and blessed Fourth to everyone! Take a few moments to be grateful to our Founders, for what they sacrificed for us.

To be honest...4th of July has lately been one of my favorite holidays especially because of the fun picnics and fireworks involved with them. Not to mention the nicer weather, albeit the bugs.
Sometimes we like to have a big bon fire on the 4th too. We'll also light sparklers and morning glories.
It's all around a good time.
It's thanks to Pumpkin Man/Pumpkin Head here that I make sure to save some of my smoke balls for my pumpkins. Having the smoke roll out of a jack o lantern looks really cool. I appreciate the idea, and I hope he's doing well.

Since I'm off school for the summer...summer might end up replacing fall as my favorite season. Oh noooo...lol

Summer is a fun season, but around here it gets so oppressively hot for so long that everybody is panting for fall, which usually arrives about mid-October. You start Oct in summer clothes but finish it in sweaters and jackets.

I miss Mike, too, and wish him well.

Spring and fall are when the back of the car fills up with coats and sweaters.

As fun as sweater weather is, I'm happy it's shorts and tee shirt weather. :)
Meanwhile Mountain Dew has new limited time flavors for the 4th. I like when they do stuff like that.
They've been doing "Voo Doo" for Halloween where they introduce a mystery flavor. This year they have 3 different red, white and blue flavors. They've also brought baja blast back for the long term.
They're all good flavors, the blue and red have a nice berry flavor to them, while the white has a peach lemonade flavor. I think the white might be the best one honestly. It's not an overpowering peach like KFC's sweet lightning either. This one has more of a good balance between the peach and lemonade flavors. And lemonade is another staple of summer!

They are good! And I bought a 12 pack of each flavor for 4th of July.
I'm really excited for the 4th. ^^
I also found some cute decorations at the dollar store! :)
