Re: Early Halloween Sightings!
Back when I was a pup, school didn't start until the 3rd or 4th, or very early in September. When I got into high school, it was around Ausugt 27th or so. I allways thought that was a bit of a bummer, especialy since I HATED my high school passionately.
The good news was, that before School started, the stores usualy had Halloween merchandise for sale, and the farm stand at the corner of 111th and Central park put out the pumpking, usuly in late September, or right on the 1st of October.

Mike, you are a man after my husband's heart. He loves to grill and will do so at any time of the year.

You can't beat the taste of barbecue. I like to use lump charcole or wood when I slow roast a Prime Rib or a Rack of Pork.

Re: Early Halloween Sightings!
Alright, well I saw Halloween Candy at the local Dollar general.
I think I mentioned before the local Dollar Tree has a few fall things, and a pumpkin candle holder thingy. Nothing that really interests me all that much.
Halloween and fall related items at Rite Aide, and some fall items at Family Dollar.
The clerk said there would be more Halloween related items later this week.
Oh by the way, this was at the "haunted" dollar general too. XP But...she also said the evil word..."Christmas." *Shudders* Yeah I guess they're gonna have their Christmas stuff coming in too. It's just too soon if you ask me. Not too soon for Halloween stuff though. She was all like "Well what comes after Halloween?"
I responded. "Thanksgiving."

I know it. People forget that Thanksgiving even exists because of Christmas!Andybev01 wrote:That just sizzles my griddle. Thanksgiving is a real holiday, people!!!
I mean, I love Christmas and all. But it kind of makes me sad that they forget all about Thanksgiving in favor of Christmas. I remember someone even saying that Thanksgiving was just a pit stop to Christmas.
C'mon, who could NOT love a Holiday that's about FOOD?!

I thought you were a conservative, Spooky?
Thanksgiving is as American as, well, THANKSGIVING!

Every Thanksgiving I go down to Plymouth Rock and pray that it continues to protect us from the English. Then I throw pennies at it in offering.
I think I'll dig out my Halloween stuff tomorrow and make some corn husk dolls.

I went to Wal-Mart to stock up on Lump Charcoal, and I overheard the manager talking to some of his employees about putting out the Halloween merchandise.
