Great post!
I've been having a rather tough year for personal reasons, but I've recently been getting back to normal, and just in time!
If this year is like past years, the Halloween goodies will start showing up at a few local stores by the end of the month!
I usually start to get in the mood once July 4 is over, and especially in August!
I have a self-imposed limit of August 31 for bringing out the fall-scented candles, pumpkin spice coffee and a few pumpkin/leaf/fall decorations so the house is ready when I wake up on September 1. Hard to believe Aug. 31 is next month! That taste of fall tides me over for a few weeks until I bring out the spooky stuff in late Sept.
And football training camp starts this month, preseason games next month. Time to start thinking ahead and prepping for hunting season, which is two short months away.
It's almost time.
Have a great day, everyone.

I still have yet to step foot in a Spirit Halloween shop. We totally need to do that at some point.
The way the weather's been lately, it already feels like Halloween weather. Maybe I should just forget the fireworks and get the Halloween stuff out.

You mean you've never been inside one at all, Mau?
I have always thought it's neat to see a shop totally dedicated to Halloween, but to tell you the truth, I think they are over-priced. I like to browse them, but I rarely buy anything there. I do most of my seasonal shopping at Party City, or at Craft Stores, or I make stuff myself.

I have never been in a spirit Halloween either. The closest one is about 70 miles. We do have a Halloween Express store around here that usually comes around in mid-late August. I love going in there.
Happy Independence Day, everyone! After today, the next holidays on the schedule are Labor Day, autumn, Halloween!

If I drank coffee I would be choking on it right now! Never been in a Spirit Store...
We should revoke their Halloween privileges.

Hey now, I live in the boonies remember? We have the best fall foliage, and are surrounded by a lot of potential for haunted campfire stories, woods and a lot of ghost activity. The nearest spirit store would be in Roanoke to my knowledge, and we attempted to go to one but they were already closed. I've only ever been outside looking in.
In New York it meant driving to Rochester which was also a good distance where I used to live in the North.
Put one in a local area and you bet I'll buy at least one thing there. Trust me, I plan to visit one eventually; just need to get the time, money and not to mention the long drive is a challenge right now. It's not like I can go to a local city like Covington or something.
But if they put one in Covington I'll squeal like a little girl. Trust me.
At least I've been to party city.

The one in Roanoke might be gone by the time you get there.

That was a weird movie even by Steven King standards.
