Waiting in line.

I never seen the other kind before.

I'd rather wait in line, because sometimes that, in and of itself, is fun.

Yeah...waiting in line becomes part of the experience. This is all horror-oriented stuff, so "waiting your turn" has different and ominous connotations. I like to hear whatever sound effects they might be playing...usually there is some windy atmosphere outside to get you in the mood, and sometimes you can hear things going on inside the attraction. If you're lucky, the outside of the attraction is dressed up in some kind of facade, too.

There is also a "crowd consciousness" thing going on because everyone is there for the same entertainment, and it is fun to be with one's own peeps, so to speak.

One place my wife I went to this past yearsold 2 kinds of tickets - regular and deluxe. The regular ones were $30 and the deluxe were $40 I think. We got the regular.

Turns out the deluxe let you cut in line. So if you waited in line for 30 minutes and it was your turn, too bad if a deluxe ticket holder comes along 'cause they get to go ahead of you. Pissed me off; not as a money issue, more as a fairness issue.
