We should be posting video soliloquies here, get that mojo flowing so to speak, talk through the dark times!

Video solliquies would meander into an entirely new realm of madness. With that said, I'm all for em.

NOS, I'm really empathizing with you here. I know you're going through a rough period but, don't the 'Halloween Block' get you down too much. I'm going through a bit of it, myself.
We've all been spending so much time in antisipation for this moment, we're bound to feel a bit of for old ' anti-climactic'.
My bout of moving still has me feeling like I'm in limbo. You should SEE my new apartment..... No... wait.... you SHOULDN'T see my apartment! It's in TOTAL chaos!
At least at my house there was HOPE of trick or treaters.... Now, there's not even that! Outside my front door, we can SEE the quaint little neighborhood we techically belong to, however there's a bridge that crosses a freeway that separates us and there's just no was kids are going to come across the bridge to the only 10-plex at the bottom of the hill!
*sigh*
Anyway. Just try to keep your spirits up, ol boy, and know that we're all pullin for ya!

Nos, I too can empathize with you. With all my health issues and medical appointments, along with other <deleted> going on, I just feel blah! Big Time! Zero Energy, like at rock bottom. And on top of everything, the only place on ebay that carries the costume I so badly wanted to wear this year, they don't ship to Canada, well it was my second choice since my first is just out of my budget for this year. And any of the nice costumes here for sale "might have fit me when I was 15"
So ya, I don't know whats going to happen, especally with an up coming medical procedure on the 28th, so I'm preparing for the worst, but hoping for the best

Hang in there, good people...real world problems are always there, for everyone, all year round. Sending everyone good thoughts. These good thoughts are also real. Hold onto your smiling disposition!

I hear ya, y'all! Got some of those real world issues going on myself that make it hard to keep with the Halloween spirit all the time. I betcha though, this group will be able to pull through and have a good time on the big day despite it all..we can help each other make sure of that.
OEJ, I've been wanting ask if you'd gotten settled in your new digs yet, and if it felt like home to ya....
Dutchess, still hoping for a very smooth day for you on the 28th as well!!

Makes you long for the day when you were just a kid excited about the up coming holiday with nothing to worry about but what custome you would wear. Oh those were the days..

*goes misty eyed* Oh, weren't they just?
*sigh*
Unfortunately Nos, I know exactly what you mean. There's less than 3 weeks to go, I have a ton of stuff to do - included, but not limited to, finishing making my costumes and all the decorations.. and .. I'm ill. I've been ill for a week now, and I'm still not better. It's the flu, so there's nothing the doctor can do for it, I just have to ride it out. I'm missing University like crazy (and literally.. I can't sleep at night so I miss the early morning lectures, like I did this morning
) and thank god my other half is home here on holiday time to look after me or I would be totally depressed. I've no enthusiasm to do any of it and I'm really scared about that. Instead of being all excited about the parties, I'm now starting to get anxious and stress that things won't be ready on time. The postal strikes that have been going on for the last week mean that everything I've ordered in the past 10 days hasn't arrived and quite possibly will never arrive, my student loan hasn't come through so I'm down to my last few ££s and can't buy any material for costume bits and I have a whole pile of materials to make things from but I just can't get motivated.
I'm rubbish
Sorry for the rant there, I didn't realise quite how bad I was feeling! *hugs to everyone feeling Halloween block*

Aw, magickbean, don't say that!!! Anytime you need to vent, we're hear for you, sister!! I had no idea you'd come down with the flu, that can be a real booger to get rid of...glad your man is home to give you a little TLC today.
Postal strikes over there?? What's that all about?......

I've had to balance my time between Halloween and studying for an 8 hour test I
paid to take on the 27th-- how crazy is that? So much Halloween to do, so little time.... there never seems to be enough time. Forcing myself to reign in all my other hobbies so I have time to study makes me less excited to do much of anything.... Bleh.
The trick is to space things out, I guess. Take a Halloween break to pick out those rocks... plan your National Novel Writing Month (
nanowrimo.org) Story... think about Thanksgiving... Christmahanakwanzica... or which is your best side. *shrug*
... and DON'T..... DIE.... ON.... US!!!
Someone give him 5ccs of Halloweenaline!

Magickbean, I sure hope you start feeling better. You are hardly rubbish my dear...you are not feeling good and it's making you cranky.
Three weeks is plenty of time to feel better and get things done. Hang in there!
