Not yet, but my local food market has them all out on display, looking all lovely and orange and pumpkin-y
I'm going pumpkin shopping early next week, and I think as I'm getting quite a few, I will be taking my other half with me to help me lug them home. It's only round the corner from my flat, but still

i went to the pumpkin patch last week and picked up 3 medium sized pumpkins (couldn't get any bigger coz the hubby wasn't there with us to carry them). i got a wicked sunburn that day also, damn 90 degree weather. thank god it's nice and cool now. we were gonna carve them this weekend, but it's been a bad weekend. hopefully next week we'll get to hack into them
trick or treat

Here's GOURDON!
I haven't decided what to carve it as. But I want to try using a skinning technique, instead of the usual carve holes and stuff. I might need to buy some wood carving tools to pull it off though.
Anyone ever tried this technique before? I'm thinking a small razor knife or exacto, and peeling the skin, to let the candle light through the rind. I might have to scrape the interior of the rind pretty thin. But I don't know how thin.
Since I never done it this way before, any tips, trick or links would be appreciated.
