Hey everybody!

Thanksgiving is coming in one more month and 1 day!!! So what are you planning to do on TG day? Cook turkey? Go over to your family's TG dinner?

I will cook turkey and everything at home, so everybody will bring some vegetables, rolls, and desserts. :D

I plan to drive seven and a half hours to be with my extended family, and see my aunts and cousins again. I spent last Thanksgiving by myself, here at law school, because I needed to study. Family is what it's all about to me, and I'm not going to pass up another opportunity to see them.

Working in health care is really hard during the holidays. We're forced to choose Thanksgiving or Christmas. While Thanksgiving is my personal favorite (FOOTBALL!!!), we do it big for Christmas because of the munchkins in the family. I had to request Christmas off so I'll probably be working. I'd rather be on my auntie's couch with turkey, football and my crazy uncles. :(

Visiting family, glad I don't have to do the Turkey this year, cause I like it brined, but that comes out too juicy for some very vocal family members. I'll be glad to spend some time with my wife though. Her 1st year as a 1st grade teacher, I hardly see her . . .

Having the families over. My house has been the thanksgiving destination for the family for the last 7 years. It's a lot of work but a lot of fun too.

I like Thanksgiving too...it's like Halloween's slightly older, slightly more responsible sibling...fun but in a decidedly more relaxed way. I used to love the Twilight Zone marathons Channel 5 (KTLA) would do in the Los Angeles area back in the day...that was too cool, a whole day and evening of Twilight Zones back to back as the perfect (completely weird!!) background while everyone was eating their turkey and mashed potatoes.

I don't know whose idea it was originally, but the Twilight Zone marathon for Thanksgiving is pure genius. Even nowadays, I feel compelled to watch at least a couple of TZ episodes on Turkey Day for this reason.
