is anything happening in anybody's town to celebrate the end of summer? yesterday was the 1st day of the west end fair, which is basically an end of summer festival. they have tons of stands that sell halloween, harvest, autumn decorations. you can get the best country style decorations. if any of you are in northeast pa this week, check it out. i'm going back friiday to pick more stuff up.

Goodbye, Summer! Don't ever come back!

The heat this year was way too hot.

They don't really do anything here, but there is the LA County Fair which starts in a week or two.

School for my middle guy started yesterday. :) It was 98 degrees out. Yikes.

How I wish we had autumn here!!!!

I can't imagine that some schools open earlier this week, some opens next week.

But it's not autumn yet around here... it's still hot just like summer! ;) I have rainy week! :?

Oh, well don't worry. :) It's not officially autumn anyway no matter what until the 21st, I think. It was a tradition growing up on the east coast to buy tons of "school clothes" that usually consisted of warmer clothing--like sweaters. On the first day, of course we'd want to wear our new duds...and we came home SOAKED in sweat. It was always hot at the beginning of the school year.

But the promise of autumn was just around the corner and it was always exciting!

You don't really go to the fair, do you? Too many gang-bangers for my comfort.

Hee hee... I don't wear any heavy clothes when the season is hot! Right now, I'm wearing Billaong tank tops and Billabong board shorts - makes me cool! And, my girlfriend is wearing bikin swimsuit now because she always go in and out of the swimming pool in the backyard.

Luckily, we don't have our own kids! BUT we do babysit other kids for their parents because they have to go work. ;)
