Time to start planning. Time to get serious and start buying and building!!! :twisted:

I need more new tombstones, props, lights... and, of course maybe more pumpkins. Ohh, maybe I need to think about making my own mausoleum? :D

Well, for one thing, I am going to get myself a few more votive candles during the Summer months when they're cheap. I also plan to add 1 or two more battery operated bats, and maybe put up a few more decorations out side.

Of course, during the Summer months, I will also be making another attempt (most likely a vain ne) to grow a pumpkin patch.

I want to make a Halloween-themed wreath.

My buds and I have been discussing this lately. We're thinking about going as the guys from Anchorman, or the Ghostbusters, or the A-Team, or maybe the X-Men (I'm gonna ask Psylocke on a date). As far as decorations, we're definitely gonna up things on that front. We pretty much had no decorations at our party this year.

Gotta decide whose turn it is since 2010 was a wash... ideally, it'd be mine. Once we decide that, I'll have to pester my husband to choose a theme or choose which theme I wanna do... got a few rollin' around upstairs...

My top 5 choices...
* Steampunk
* 1920s Gangsters (Would double as a costume for Dillinger Days)
* Robert Johnson/Crossroads
* Wild West (I'm dyin' to make an 1880's walking dress...)
* Voodoo/New Orleans/MardiGras

(I could combine Steampunk with Wild West....)

Need to brainstorm a bit to see if there's anything neat-o we can do for those themes first... something for some "wow" factor like my candy cannon for pirates.

Muahaha!

steampunk-western might end up looking like the horrible Wild Wild West remake with Will Smith. :?

I was sort of playing around with simular ideas about a theme myself. However, I am more 'old school' when it comes to Halloween. I was thinking that my Halloween theme next year would be entirely "Dark Shadows." I thought I would go on line and try to find any figurenes of "Dark Shadows" characters like Barnabass Collins, the vampire, or Quentin Collins the wearwolf There was also a witch, Angelique, Magda the gypsie, a few ghosts, and a whole host of others.

I plan on making a whole week out of it. I'll be helping set up a massive block Halloween party (we've all been planning since this past Halloween). I'll also probably have a couple of parties to go to, and then I hate to admit it, but Monster Massive as well, lol

I wish I could be there. That sounds like a cool party idea. I don't have any major plans. As I said before, I would like to increas my decoations a little and add an outside display of some sort so my neighbors know that I'm serious about Halloween. I still want to try putting healium gas in one of those huge inflatables. I think that would be fun. I don't know how expensive that would be, though.
