The Halloween/Fall season that is! What sort of foods, and beverages do you like to have during this time of year?
Alright...not a recipe thread...more of a Halloween foods thread. However, this forum seems to be the closest thing to Holiday foods so I thought I'd make a thread about foods and beverages you like to have for fall and Halloween.
I was excited to find out that they started carrying Apple Cider at my store. I love cider but you can only find it during the fall, and it's always been something I liked to have at Halloween time along with some donuts. Yes, Cider and Donuts, they are a must for this time of the year.
Then of course you have candy corn, but that's more of a candy than a food.
You have Holiday themed snack cakes made by little debbie, like the fall harvest ones or the cookies with the little pumpkin faces on them.
And then of course it just wouldn't be Halloween (at least to me) without eating some Halloween oreos.
Jones sodas have come back with their line of Halloween sodas. I thought I would try the Candy Corn flavored with the werewolf on it. It's not too bad. I couldn't believe I was able to find them.
Then you get various foods that have Halloween labels on them and such. Like the small 7 up cans.
So how about we share your Halloween and Fall food and beverage favorites?

Apple Cheddar Soup! It is absolutely wonderful. Don't let the apple part throw you off. When cooked they are almost indistinguishable from the potatoes. ( Yes, there are also potatoes in the soup ) Try it. Love it.

For desert items I love Taffy Apples, but believe it or not, the Halloween Season is my favorite time of the year to barbecue. I also like to experiemt with some of the recipes on this forum.
