Halloween treats for cats?
I've seen plenty of recipes for doggie cookies and treats, but very little for cats.
Since it's a bad idea to give candy to pets (especially chocolate, because chocolate is toxic) I was wondering if anyone knew of any good treats for cats. Especially something holiday related.
It can be a recipe, or something you buy in the store. All I've been able to find for cats are costumes and toys, but I can't find any good Halloween treats that would be suitable for cats.
Any thoughts or suggestions? I don't want my cats to feel left out on Halloween!

This probably seems crazy, crazy, a graveyard theory,
A ghost tried to approach me and got leery.
Ask him a question and he vanished in a second...

You can't go wrong with a canary. Maybe put a little mouse costume on it?

C'mon no live prey you guys.
Someone on a pets forum mentioned blood. That's Halloweeny. Or animal livers and organs.
I was thinking something along the lines of a cat-safe cookie. They make them for dogs, so I was wondering if there was anything good for cats.

You could probably make some pretty easily. Flour, water, an egg, and some ground up boiled chicken livers. Mix it into a dough, form little cat sized treats, bake for a few minutes in the oven.

How about a little toy instead. A cloth pumpkin filled with catnip, or a little toy skull for him to chase around. Or a piece of salmon. Salmon can look pretty gruesom, and as a fish cat's love it.

I found a couple recipes on the ASPCA website. They have one for a cat and one for a dog:

If your cat's only a baby, you can simply buy a laser pointer. He or she will have a ball chasing that little red dot around.
