Wedding Pumpkin

Post by jadewik » Fri Nov 30, 2007 10:58 am

FINALLY got around to carving my other pumpkin-- the one I ran out of time to carve for Halloween. I Designed this myself based on some images I found online... and carved it for a friend's wedding Nov 24th.

I don't have the pattern scanned as yet, but I'll post it when I finally scan it. I also don't have any photos of it "lit" in the dark.... ah, well.

You love Halloween so much you make a jack-o-lantern for a wedding! I am not making fun of you it is just kind of funny.
Halloween wraps fear in innocence,
As though it were a slightly sour sweet.
Let terror, then, be turned into a treat...

Well, what else was I going to do with a pumpkin leftover from Halloween? =P
Last time I didn't carve my pumpkin for Halloween, it ended up rotting in a puddle of mush in my kitchen in April. Yucky!

This one had such a good carving surface, I couldn't let it go to waste.

Here's the pattern I made for it.... the linework isn't exactly clean, but it's still use-able.
