Do adults ever go trick or treating?

I think I remember some college students going, but I'm not sure.
I kind of miss it being 23, and usually I'm just handing the candy out for kids. (and eating whatever's left over XD)
Sometimes I just go out and buy my own candy, that way I get what I want.
Does anyone think being an adult and going trick or treating would be odd?

It is odd. But I read some adults comments on this and other forums saying they still do.

I've seen plenty of moms and dads dressed up in costumes for Halloween, and they were with their kids trick or treating. Some of them actualy had trick ot treat bags, but I've never seen an adult trick or treating alone, or a group of adults trick or treating together without any kids with them.
I stopped trick ot treating when I was in 7th grade, because I fealt self-consience about doing it. I decided that was the year that I would hand out the candy instead, and it's been that way ever since. My younger sister went out trick or treating all through high school.
Besides, some one has to hand out the candy. If everyone went out trick or treating, nobody would be home to hand out candy.

I will leave a bowl of candy on the porch when I go trick or treating. Then I will come home before it is too late and hand it out myself. But I don't think anyone will come. We live out in the country. But who knows? We do not live that far out and we will have a strobe light this year that will be visible from the road and someone might come.

I might TOT if I had kids of my own, but other wise, some one has to stay home and hand out candy. Since I'm the only one who lives in my house, I'm elected.

When I was little my mom would take me trick or treating while my dad would stay home and hand the candy out. Later on my parents divorced...but since we lived out in the country we didn't get trick or treaters anyway...unless you count my stepdad's nephew who came over with his for an extra treat, but that's more of a family thing eh?
My mom would still take me trick or treating for a while...then eventually we got to the point where we just bought our own candy.
I'm living with my dad and grandma now...I actually enjoy handing the candy out...(and eating it) XD
I never get invited to any parties though.
Though...I may be able to pass for someone that's 16...so I wonder if I could get away with it...

Hallows Queen, if I had children or grand children of my own, I would probably put on a costume and go TOTing with them, but my problem is that I would have to get someone to hand out candy at my house while I was away TOTing.
For right now, I do put on a costume of some kind, even it it's only a pair of fangs and answer the door to TOTers as a vampire or a wearwolf, because I'm the only one living at my house, and I have to hand out the treats.

If I was shorter I'd totally trick or treat

I'd just put on a mask and go for it. It's hard passing for a kid when you're over 6 feet tall though. It probably wouldn't go over very well.
I can see myself dressing up when I have my own kids and take them trick or treating. It would be a way to re-live one of the best parts of my childhood, even though I wouldn't actually be getting the candy. I'd at least be going door to door in a costume.

hmm..*ponders* maybe you could make a costume that looks like your two kids, ie as if someone is on your shoulders? that way you could get away with it?

Or you can borrow a child from a relative. Perhaps you have a niece or nephew who's parents are going out of town or something and he might need an adult guardian to TOT with him.

Of course they do, but it's called bar-hopping.

And you have to pay for the drinks. They don't give them to you as a "trick or treat" gift.

...besides, you don't want all of that sugar on top of a belly-full of alchohol...
