I can't tell you much about it or I'll give it all away, you should just really go and rent it, I did & loved it!! I now wish I had seen it on the big screen!!Murfreesboro wrote:My high school son & his friend were talking about Insidious just a couple of days ago. They both thought it was scary. Re: Horror Movie Night help!
So, we decided on 'Trick r' Treat' and 'Devil'. 'Trick r' Treat' had good props and whatnot but it was NOT scary and all over the place. We had some good laughs and I was told I can't pick movies anymore. 'Devil" was pretty creepy and I like most of M. Night Shamalyan's movies anyways. My friend Michelle almost brought 'Insidious' but didn't because all the reviews she read were bad. Maybe we can watch it next time, I am hoping that this becomes a monthly thing.

OK, so I saw Insidious a couple of days ago. It reminded me of a cross between Amityville & Poltergeist. It had some good "jump" moments, but I didn't like the ending.
It cracked me up that Tiny Tim's "Tiptoe through the Tulips" was used as the scary harbinger of evil. I mean, that novelty song was weird even back in the day, but I am old enough to remember Tiny Tim singing it on the Tonight Show. So that image was in my head the whole time I heard it.
