Which Halloween character/creature/thing is MOST iconic?

The list is long, bats, black cats, ghosts, jack o lanterns, haunted houses, Dracula, witches over the moon...there's more where that came from. But you have to pick one as the most iconic thing to represent Halloween. Think hard.

Vampires, werewolves, zombies, Frankenstein, Michael Myers in Halloween movies, Jason Voorhees in Friday The 13th movies, Freddy Krueger in Nightmare on Elm Street movies, Leatherface in Texas Chainsaw Massacre movies plus more! :D

I vote for jack-o-lanterns, although bare tree limbs against a moon with wispy clouds scudding across is a close second for me.

For me the most iconic thing would also be a Jack O'Lantern.

I vote jack o'lanterns as well. Although anything with orange and black with that "vintage Halloween" look counts too in my book.

Witches dressed in black with green skin...Jack 'o Lanterns, Ghosts, Ghouls and goblin's all have their hold on Halloween...also the classic Vampire, Werewolves, Frankenstein as well...Jason, Michael Myers, Freddie as well...

Bats, Black cats, Haunted Houses...

Yeah, I'd say Jack O'lanterns. Followed closely by zombies. There's more books, movies, and tv shows based on zombies than any other Halloween related character/creature.
