Well, it would depend. If you liked what you were doing and were still able to do it, why would you quit?

That's true. If I was in a job that I really wanted to do & enjoyed then I don't think I would retire.

I think iHaunt's grandpa was asking that question rhetorically. He has experienced too much death in his immediate family recently. First, his step-grandson was murdered, and then, shortly afterward, his daughter died of natural causes. Two deaths within a couple of weeks of each other, IIRC. He wasn't really expecting an answer. He was just railing against death, especially the deaths of people younger than he is.

You are probably right that he felt ambushed by death.

Hey Undertaker... have you ever heard of Aubry de Grey? He's a gerontologist who says we now have the tools to allow humans to stop aging. Someone just has to start applying them. He believes the first person to be 1000 years old is alive today and may be as old as 60. He may be right. There have been experiments where scientists not only stopped aging, they've actually reversed it, in lesser animals of course.

If it took 200 years for world population to go up 6 billion, how long would it take to reach 10 billion if people stopped dying? Experts think that 10 billion is the most people that this planet can support. Scary, huh?
Speak of the devil! My mom was just watching that guy on youtube last night.

People die young in Laos more than in America. Average is maybe 60 there and 80 or 90 here.

That's sad to hear. Is their health care not as good over there?

Lots of mortality from diseases because lack of medicines to many villages. Also more are of poverty and uneducated. Educated and richer people live longer lifes.

Ok, so far.... my ½ cousin died 32 years old b/c he did threaten to kill his own enemy friend's family in Atlanta, Georgia. Well, I was saddened to hear about him... honestly, I really didn't like him b/c he didn't like me, my friends and all other cousins too. He did make a lot of mistakes all the time, also love to deal and fight with other gangersters.
Only my step brother and step sister were on his side. :? Anyways, we already gave step sister to move out after New Year's Day. She got very, very upset..... calling us "F--king A--holes!" So me and my grandpa did agree not to let her back to live with us anymore period! :D
