300-- now there's another great comic book flick. I like how true they stayed to the comic (borrowed my co-worker's copy and read it)-- the costumes and some quotes are directly from the comic book. I don't like many of the parts with the queen in 'em... but the last scene, where she's in the amphitheater is really savvy. I still remember the cheering from the audience at that part. Hehe. I didn't like the excessive boobie shots, though... that got... old very fast for me. The fighting was awesome, though... and the washboard abs on all the fellas is enough to make me drool! Great movie!

lol Laurie VERY true about Shaun of the Dead. So many horror films are funny without even meaning to be, it's so good when a film uses that to its advantage
In no particular order, my favourite horror movies (and movies that are horror themed, but not really scary..) are:
Interview with the Vampire
The Craft
Corpse Bride
Edward Scissorhands
Dracula
28 Days Later
American Werewolf in Paris (Don't laugh at me!!!! It was funny!)
Silence of the Lambs/Hannibal/Red Dragon
Stigmata
Fallen
Blair Witch Project 2: Book of Shadows
Dracula: Dead and Loving It
Halloween
The Shining
The Devils Advocate
Witches of Eastwick
Shaun of the Dead
The Faculty
Sleepy Hollow
American Psycho
Ring
Vampire in Brooklyn
The Crow
Silent Hill
*edited to include 3 more classics that I had forgotten!!!*
Practical Magic
Rocky Horror Picture Show
Warlock!!
But, my 2 all time favourite HALLOWEEN movies are:
Hocus Pocus
aaaaand
The Nightmare Before Christmas
There are probably many that I have forgotten - and many more that I simply haven't seen yet!

Holy Magickbean, Do you and I ever have a lot in common when it comes to the type of movies we like, kinda kewl! Another one, I don't know if you've seen it, it's one of my favourites, its not horror though, but just one of the most wonderful movies to watch over Halloween is " Practical Magic". I think my favourite movies of all times are : Interview with a Vampire, Practical Magic, Lord of The Rings, Harry Potters. Oh sure I love others, but these will always stick out in my mind

One of my favorite episodes of Oprah was when she had Tom Cruise on for INTEVMIEW WITH A VAMPIRE...
almost an ambush...
She tells him how 'she and Gail' had to have 'a prayer meeting' in the lobby after because they found the movie 'so dark'.
Tom just looks at her..with mouth open wide.
Then the folks in the audience start in..they ask if he is worried that folks will think he's either gay or into the occult now..and Tom, give him credit, is PATIENT...he tells them it's MAKE BELIEVE..a VAMPIRE MOVIE..you know, read my lips..Vincent Price, Christopher Lee, drive ins..
and the audience sort of STARES...
and you could see him thinking;"Dang..and they think I'M weird because I bought into Scientology.."

Future events such as these will effect you in the future

OH MY GOD...
Does anybody remember Night Of The Comet?!?
It's a comedy about two 80's Valley Girls on a Christmas vendeta against people turned zombie from comet dust!!!
best line: "These guns are junk, Daddy would've gotten us Uzi's."
I guess you had to be there.

All you that doth my grave pass by,
As you are now so once was I,
As I am now so you must be,
Prepare for death & follow me.
