That's funny!

I don't think you should get into any trouble for that. Showing Obama as a vampire isn't the same thing as hanging him in effigy.

It came out great Castle and I don't think you'll be getting any secret service visits.

My neighbors actually thought it was funny. They're complete liberals but they actually have a sense of humor.
I didn't go out and buy that mask, a Halloween store gave it to me for free because I bought over 60 bucks worth of stuff a while back.

What ever happened to Freedom of Expression??? I have seen pictures of almost every president who was in office for my whole life time hung in efugy or in other negative lights.

I've seen plenty of negativity directed toward presidents of both parties throughout my life, but I can't say I've seen them "hanged in effigy." I do think the police in that one situation overreacted, given the Halloween season, and the balance of showing both candidates in life-threatening situations. But I also know that TPTB are deadly serious about death threats to any president. I personally have strong political opinions, but I would draw the line at suggesting that I wanted to see any president dead.

I seem to recall there was a European film about the fictional assassination of G. W. Bush while he was in office. I heard about it, but I am not aware that it aired here.

ETA: Oh, wait a minute. I thought there was a story somewhere about a man who had decorated his yard for Halloween by hanging Obama in effigy and then showing Mitt Romney boiling in oil. That story linked above says nothing about the Mitt Romney scenario, so perhaps I was recalling something from a different thread.

In the South, you can get into big trouble around Halloween by showing any black person hanging in effigy. So, no, I wouldn't go there.

I originally heard about the guy who got in trouble with the Secret Service on the radio. The story I linked to didn't have the part about Romney but the radio guys were talking about it. That's the problem with the news today, they tend to only mention the part of a story that promotes their agenda. One of the reasons I prefer to look overseas for news about our country.

My older son lived in Germany for his junior year in college and maintains his fluency in the language by subscribing to a German newspaper on Kindle. He says the news from overseas is very different from what we get here.

I've seen Jimmy Carter hanged in efugy during the hostage crises in Iran. It was done by Iranians, but they where protesting in Washington DC. I saw a group of PATKO Union Workers burn Ronald Reagan and George Bush sr in efugy during the PATKO strike.
