I don't remember what magazines they were, but there were already jack o'lanterns, skeleton cookies and all kinds of Halloween themed decorations and desert items featured on the front covers.

Olive loaf??? That may be the scariest thing mentioned on this board to date!

It may sound scary, but it's really quite good. Scott Peterson, IMHO is the best brand of Olive Loaf on the market. It's just a type of bolobna with olives in it. Tasts great on rhy bread with a good sharp cheddar chese and some fancy mustard.

To be fair Mike olive loaf never had much of a chance with me as I don't like either olives or bologna. Though even not looking them it just stems like a wired idea.

I ove Olive Loaf, and olives. I even put minced olives in my barbecued bacon wrapped meatloaf at times. There are also other types of cold cuts, too. I also like the Scott Peterson or the Ecritch Old Fashioned loaf. They also have hard salami, 3 different brands, all kinds of cheeses, Krakous Polish Ham, Sara Lee London Broil, roast turkey, roast beef, corned beef, pistrami, and a whole host of other tasty delights.

The spirit halloween just opened up where I live, and I went in there today to look around. Pretty cool, they always do a good job of setting it up, and I always go in there a handful of times throughout the season when I have time on my hands.

I sure wish a store like that would open up in my neck of the woods. The only time we ever see "pop-up" stores where I live is during the 4th of July season. Usualy fireworks tents selling sparklers and verious other legal fireworks pop up everywhere.

same here Mike. no Spirit here in Beulah. but eh.... forces me to get creative I guess
Last night 'twas witching Hallowe'en
Dearest; an apple russet- brown
I pared, and thrice above my crown
Whirled the long skin; they watched in keen;
I flung it far; they laughed and cried me shame
Dearest, there lay the letter of your name!

we're lucky, we usually have a Spirit, Halloween City, and Halloween Express on three corners of the intersection about a block away from me

This is simply gorgeous, Andy. Fantastic capture. I'm jealous of you photography skills. :)
We're the farmer's scarecrows
We scare away the birds,
We keep the farmer's corn safe
Without any words.
But when Halloween comes
We jump out of the ground
And we scare the boys and girls
When they come walking 'round.
