Happy Earth Day!

Today's Earth day. I'm not sure if it qualifies as a real holiday or not; I suppose you could say it does. I think it's a good idea to respect the Earth and be kind to it year round to be honest, but having a day in the Earth's honor is a good idea regardless. Earth is our beloved home floating around in space after all. I spent some time helping my Biology Professor clean up some garbage in the woods. Got some nice "battle scars" from it in the form of scratches from some pricker bushes. Ah well. At least I got some nice souvenirs out of it.; I found some vintage glass pop bottles. I have to wonder why people would throw those away, some people collect them! Some people even sell them on Ebay I think.

Yes, I celebrated, too! I also think it's a great idea to devote a day to honoring our little island in the universe. I printed out some cool pics/desktop images and pinned them to the outside of my cubicle wall at work to remind folks about the day. Also discovered Earth Hour, which I didn't know about:
