Anyone have any luck using paper mache to make their own costumes? I've never used it myself but it seems like a lot of people can get really creative using that stuff.
What do you think?

Re: Paper Mache
I tried making a mask once, it's a messy process and it weighed a ton.
All you that doth my grave pass by,
As you are now so once was I,
As I am now so you must be,
Prepare for death & follow me.

Re: Paper Mache
Yeah, paper mâché would probably be awkward. There's always upholstery foam?

Re: Paper Mache
It looked like they might have some on walmart.com that didn't seem too badly priced, but it makes me wonder how well I can work with it. Working with things like clay is one thing, foam a completely different story. I could probably try it. I looked it up and people were able to make some detailed cat and dog masks, and someone made a minecraft outfit out of it.
As far as paper mache goes I haven't used it since I was in...I think 6th grade when we made those miniature castles for the Medeval faire.
