Well, I bought it without checking. It claims to be new, and I believe it is. My daughter absconded with it, so I haven't had much chance to examine it closely!

Re: Early Halloween Sightings!
I like coming up with a lot of my own ideas to be honest. But occasionally I'll buy one of those magazines and such. It didn't occur to me that they recycled the same ideas. I suppose if it's a really good idea that some people might have missed out on I can understand, but those who collect the magazines I can also understand would be annoyed.

Better Homes and Gardens' Halloween magazine is on the shelves now, too. And at the Kroger checkout, I did a double take when I saw Cadbury "Screme" eggs.
Re: Early Halloween Sightings!
Spirit Halloween opened up recently where I live, so today I made my first visit! A lot of cool props as usual, little bit pricy however. I love making my way in there a few times through out the season. Really gets me in the Halloween mood!

Not Halloween precisely, but the dogwoods in our neighborhood have started changing colors. I first noticed it with my own, and was worried it was dying. Then I noticed they are all doing that. Weird to see the trees changing while the crape myrtles are still in full bloom.

As you are now so once was I,
As I am now so you must be,
Prepare for death & follow me.

Halloweens are just so fun. I've been reading this thread for a while and I just can't wait for it to come. I know it's a bit early to talk about Halloween now, yet I'm excited.
There are nights when the wolves are silent and only the moon howls.

In early August, I saw Halloween decorations out in the store/lobby of a Cracker Barrel in Virginia.
Last week, I saw a Spirit Halloween store already up and running in Midtown Manhattan in New York.

We saw a fair number of Halloween decorations at some Cracker Barrels in early August too. I'm always tempted...but didn't buy.
