My friends..... it is October. October is a beautiful month. A beautiful month! It's so beautiful. I love October. I know some people don't like October. That's okay. They don't like October. They don't LIKE October! But that's okay. I think it's a beautiful month. I know you all do too. I know you all agree with me... it is. October is a beautiful month.

So what the heck is going on?! Halloween! October! October is the month for Halloween! That's what it's all about! You all know that. Halloween! Such a beautiful holiday! The BEST holiday, really, when you think about it. Just think about it. Halloween! So beautiful. So why don't we see more Halloween? Do you see any Halloween anywhere? I don't see enough Halloween. Well, there is some. There's a little Halloween. But not like it used to be! There used to be so much... so much beautiful, beautiful Halloween. We all loved it. Everybody loved it. We all love Halloween.

But there isn't enough of it! We need more Halloween. We need it! Some people... You know who they are. Some people who don't like Halloween, and that's fine! They don't have to like it. Such a beautiful thing, Halloween, but they don't like it, and that's fine. But they don't want us to have Halloween! They want to get rid of beautiful, beautiful Halloween! They want... you know what they want? They don't want beautiful Halloween. They want CHRISTMAS!! They want THANKSGIVING!! They want them before Halloween!! It's Halloween! This is October!! This is beautiful October, the month for Halloween! So let's have Halloween!! Everywhere I go, people come up to me and tell me I'm right. They want beautiful Halloween too!! And you know what? We're gonna have it. We're having Halloween! You and me! All of us, everybody, because everybody loves Halloween!

So let's have more Halloween! Let's have it all month, all of beautiful October! Let's have Halloween together!! Let's Make Halloween Great Again!!!!

I was telling my husband last night that I wish October were eight weeks long, and perfect fall weather the whole time. We've been summertime hot in TN, but they are *promising* us that fall will arrive in earnest this weekend and stay.

20 days out from Halloween and the first cool front of the season finally came in. Got the pumpkin candles lit and the pumpkin beer out and the windows open. Now this is fall!

this weekend was the first truly fall-like weekend around here in STL, we spent a completely perfect afternoon with the boys at one of the local pumpkin patch fall festivals - it was overcast and about 55 degrees, with a chilly breeze blowing around while the boys played in the hay maze forts and "corn boxes" and picked out big ugly gourds & pumpkins I'm not sure who was more in heaven, the kids are us, haha.

I bought a pumpkin for $6.00 and it is huge from Schnucks, love it!! I went to a few pumpkin patches and had a blast but their pumpkins were not as nice I wonder why?

I just bought 3 pumpkins at Kroger. Haven't been to a patch in a long time, alas.

It was an exceptionally rainy summer and September on the east coast, and I think it affected the pumpkin crop. It seems like there is a lot more rot in the bins. Still some nice ones to be had around here.

It's nice to see familiar faces; thanks for the welcomes. Ciuin and the kids are doing well, thanks, Witchy. The oldest (11) is trick or treating as a killer squirrel, and the little one (4) has her heart set on being Michelangelo. Bizarre how things like TMNT and Mario are still popular all these years later.

Andy, that farm looks straight out of Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Or is that the California Hedge Trimmer Butcheries I'm thinking of.....?

I hope everyone is thoroughly enjoying their Halloweenmonth. Has anybody seen the new Halloween movie yet? What did you think of it? We're hoping to catch it sometime next week.
