Today is December 31st. That means we have EXACTLY 10 more months until Halloween, and it's worth anticipating as we are in for quite a few 'trick or treats' for Halloween 2020!

I just installed a new phono preamp on my stereo system and am absolutely awed by it. I love it so much, in fact, that I played the sound track record of "It's the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown" to inaugurate it.

Happy new year! Seems like a ways away, but it always comes and goes faster and faster each year. In fact, we’ll probably start seeing fall/Halloween decor in about 6-7 months.

Why wait 6 or 7 months? I plan to purchase a few Halloween doo-dads online as soon as I get my next pension payment. And you're right. It does come and go faster and faster as we get older, and next Halloween is going to be a once in a life time 'trick or treat,' with a full moon, on a Saturday and an extra hour because of the fall-back on the clocks. I might even get something for the outside this year, because I love Halloween more then even Christmas.

At any rate, it's 2020. "The year of the blessing" is what a lot of the churches are calling it, and us Halloween lovers are really going to be blessed next October.

Perhaps you'd be more jovial if you gave a little change a try. Maybe start with your under garments more than once a fortnight. It's amazing how uncrusty undercrackers can brighten your mood.

Yep, it's getting closer and closer. The only fly in the ointment is this election year is a particularly miserable one, and I have a bad feeling that Halloween is going to be shoved into the back of the proverbial bus because of it. I, however, plan to give the election a free ride on the toe of my Texas Steal Toe boot right out my front door for Halloween this year.

Don't get me wrong. I will vote on election day, but I will NOT CONTAMINATE Halloween with this crummy election.
