Well at least Andybev01 is still haunting the forum. We only have 9 months, 1 week and a couple of days until Halloween.
Halloween is going to be on a Sunday this year. That means NO WORK, and NO SCHOOL! It's not as cool as it was last year with the time change, a Saturday and a full moon, but at least it won't be overshadowed by a stinking election.

We should start planning our fun RIGHT NOW, and forget about the ugliness of politics, and concentrate on the ugliness of monsters, ghosts, vampires and all the other assorted "long-legged beasties, and things that go 'bump' in the night"

I will be ELATED if all this Covid 19 business was finally behind us for once and for all. I am also looking forward to the Spring and Summer, too. I might have a St. Patrick's Day party and an Easter party here at my house, if everyone isn't still up and arms over corona. I really do want to get into the 4th of July, too. I already have over 500 bucks saved for fireworks. And as for Halloween, I ALREADY am tentatively planning on a 'haunted road trip' to a ghost town in Southern Illinois some time in February, weather and finances permitting.

I for one, would enjoy seeing some ghost town photos if you can manage.

Out here in Oregon there are a lot of old mining camps, lumber towns, etc., and I have it on my to-do list, to get out and explore.

I will certainly do my best, but I have problems with my file sizes, and getting them to upload to this site. I may have to upload them to Facebook, and those of you who are interested can see them there. I will use my lowest definition in the hopes that will work.

The town I plan to visit is a Cairo Illinois. Formerly a town of 12,000 not only about 200 or so still live there. Much of the town stands empty. Buildings dilapidated and falling apart, cracks in the street, abandoned movie theatre and other businesses. There are even trolley car tracks that are going to rust.

At any rate, I do plan to get down there before long.

Well, this coming Sunday is Spring Forward Sunday, and a week from Saturday is the 1st day of Spring. Hopefully this Covid 19 crises will be over before Easter gets here.

Our little town has a thing for daffodils, and right now is peak season.

Here's a shot from the little cemetery down the road from home.

It's a stereoscope 3D so if you can, focus your eyes beyond the image until you see 3 of them, and the one in the center is 3D.

Or just enjoy 2 similar photos of the same scene.

That's a beautiful photo, but I don't have binocular vision, so I didn't get the 3D effect. In case I don't get back here, I hope everyone has a very HAPPY EASTER!!!

Like I said in another thread, I'm glad you're back. I've heard a few stories about Cairo Ill. From what I understand, it formerly had over 12,000 inhabitants, now down to about a thousand or so.

At any rate, I think it will be a great 'haunted road trip' to go on.
