Still waiting for some of that to load, but I love the theater!

Oh, my, now I'm seeing all of it. Amazing! I don't think our Michael's has as much as this out.

I guess it varies from location to location, the Michaels near us is always heavily stocked with seasonal decorations. I love the Spooky Town pieces, and I would get more of them but they are very pricey, they can range from $50-$400 depending on style, sometimes they do go on discount after the holiday and you can get some as cheap as $10 but by then most of the better styles are already sold out.

I'm big on post holiday sales. I have so much now that I don't need anything, so it's easy for me to wait and nab what's left. However, if you have your heart set on something, sometimes you do have to spring for it. I did that with the Zero dog from NBC a couple of years ago. I'd bought my Jack Skellington at Walmart on the 25th anniversary, but I missed out on Zero. So I ended up having to buy it at Spirit Halloween, so you know I paid top dollar.

Yeah, Spirit can be a bit rich for my blood.
All you that doth my grave pass by,
As you are now so once was I,
As I am now so you must be,
Prepare for death & follow me.

Yeah, Spirit is pricey, but they have the best selection. You should check out disneystore.com, they have some absolutely beautiful pieces, but they have some really high prices as well.

Oh I like the haunted village! I enjoy the imagination and creativity that goes into it. I like to imagine an actual village like this, with a spooky vibe.

I do have my own little spooky village but it's much smaller. I'll have to see if I can find it when I get the Halloween stuff out.
I actually do have a few things out already, but I'm just getting started.

I agree that Spirit is pricy, but it's always fun looking around in there. I always come out with something though somehow. Even if it's just a little trinket. But last year I wanted a really good witch hat, and that's what I got.
I also got a Sonic bag for our Sonic collection. :) I couldn't believe they had that at a Spirit Halloween store, but considering the popularity of Sonic since the movies started coming out dressing up as Sonic might be a more popular costume choice.

I suppose if you wanted to be creative, you could always have a go at making your own. But that would require a lot of time and work.

As for the candy thing, I might sneak a couple peanut butter cups. And I'm allowing for a "once a week" treat where I take a break from my diet. Life's too short without chocolate cake and pizza!

I agree with Murf though. If you see something you really want, you need to nab it immediately. But if it's something you kind of want and are willing to wait and see if it's still there, then it's worth the risk.

I found some things at Dollar Tree recently. And my boyfriend got me a couple things at Walmart and Dollar general. :)

Hello, my name is The Headless Horseman, and I'm a addict. Today I ate a whole bag of Reese's peanut butter pumpkins, I just couldn't resist the temptation. I know they say that realizing that you have a problem is the first step to recovery, and I'm here today to get the help I need to battle the yummy peanut butter demons that are controlling my life.

Testify!

Actually, I've got some awesome decorations at the dollar store. They don't have much out in my area yet because they usually wait until they are closer to the holiday to put stuff out, but they always get great stuff.

I think a cheat day on a diet is a great thing.

When I was a little girl, my mother instituted "Friday Go Dirty Night." It was the only night of the week I was allowed to skip my bath, though I still had to wash my face and brush my teeth. But it was a great idea. All rules need some relaxation.

You know I never did do well if rules were too strict. I'm not saying they should be too lax either, but I feel like a break is always a good thing. "Cheat day" is always something to look forward to, and I feel like it's a good way to learn self control when it comes to good stuff. I can restrict myself most days, and say ok I can have some cookies or a pizza or a cheese burger on this specific day.
And honestly there's a lot of things that aren't restricted that I can enjoy. I found out I really like bibb lettuce, and I made a couple attempts to make a tuna wrap with it. The first attempt I added a bunch of veggies and ended up basically making a salad. I did a bit better the second time, but the lettuce falls off it. It tastes good though, so I plan to add it to several meals in the future.
I can also see the diet as an opportunity to explore new foods and become creative with the available options. So, instead of dreading it I'm kind of having fun with it while allowing one day a week for junk food. We'll see how it goes!
Now I just need to incorporate some exercise.
