What Do You Listen To On Halloween?
Title says it all. Since 2002 I've listened to a certain band all year long. I listen to them all day on Halloween. Lordi! Why? Well lets say because they are monsters! They sing Hard Rock/Heavy Metal but not the Hard Rock/Heavy Metal these days. They make their music sound like the 70's -80's style. What do you listen to?
Mind if I link a music video?

I also listen to Michael Jackson's Thriller and Spooky Sounds.

Around Halloween, I especially love to listen to compilations of spooky novelty songs like Bobby "Boris" Pickett's wonderful "Monster Mash" and pretty much anything of that type. I just got a Rhino compilation that has a couple of Elvira's novelty tunes and this compilation is pretty good! It's called "Haunted Hits"...

For myself - - as many around here know already - - Type O Negative is my ultimate Halloween band.
I also like Mudvayne and Sevendust.
My all time favs are:
Type O
Van Halen (with Dave)
Def Leppard
Rush
and Tears for Fears.
However, lately I've been rekindling my love for Chicago (the stuff they did BEFORE the death of Terry Kath. I HATE all that squishy candy <deleted> they did in the 80's)

And the following movie soundtracks:

Bit of a mix... I love my music!

One of my nearest and dearest turned me on to this lovely band by the name of Coheed and Cambria. The albums, played in order, tell this fantastic story. I just LOVE them. Just hard enough for my tastes and very creative to boot.
I'm usually a classic rock, jazz, and blues girl but sometimes I'll slip something modern or hard in to mix things up.

Re: What Do You Listen To On Halloween?
I noticed more and more Metalheads have joined this forum. I felt as if my thread needed a bump! Here's some more music with the Halloween image.
Lizzy Borden

Dimmu Borgir
http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=eAmMcBQavKE
Slipknot

So far, these are some of the recent band CD's I've been listening to. Maybe tomorrow I'll head downstairs to my "Music Asylum" and get more bands who've got the Halloween image. I'm still waiting for the day a band comes into my studio and wants to record Halloween music.

That is a good one. I do agree with some of the classic specialty songs, plus songs from Nightmare Before Christmas. There is of course Rocky Horror songs.
