Thanks Spookyboo and OEJ, it's really appreciated. You guys are great too.

The passing of a relative is never easy but sometimes talking to friends who are willing to just listen can sometimes have it all make a little sence.
I wouldn't say, I was very close to her. She was my Uncle's wife ( he passed many years ago). Since then I would see her a couple of times a year at family events. But I have fond memories of her from when I was a child and she was a very kind and loving person.
She was only 62, which in my book is too young to go. It wasn't a sudden thing, she had a brain tumor that turned out to be cancerous. The state that horrible diseases like that put a person in, makes you pray for the end to come quickly. It came fairly quickly, within 3 months. Anyway, I will miss her. It is always tough when this world loses a good person. I guess the saying "the good die young" has some merit.

HH...I've worked the ER on and off for almost 20 years...NOBODY wants to end up in there, especially with their child. But I can assure you from all those many years of experience...it hurt you worse than it hurt him, and toddlers forget and forgive very quickly! The worst part for them is being held down, they HATE that!! And remember, those teeth are only baby teeth, and the likelyhood that this will have any effect on his future gorgeous smile is small. You're right, it is a good sign that the pediatrician doesn't think it's a big deal. Glad he's more himself today.

Don't blame yourself...we can't protect them from everything, although we want to.

Sorry about your aunt. Nobody should have to suffer through that. I'm glad that you have good memories of her, hold onto them.

I'm so sorry about your Aunt. It's really tough to lose a relative, especially one so relatively young.

I'm sure you're son will be back to himself in no time. He's very young and the young 'uns tend to really bounce back. And I'm sure this was quite a learning experience for him so maybe he's learned to be a little more careful, but then I don't think 'careful' exists in a two year olds mind!

When I was in elementary school there was a boy walking through class and he tripped over someone's chair and fell forward onto the floor and his first two teeth went through his bottom lip. Right away, I and another student went racing for help. Far as I know, he made a full recovery and everyone thought his stitches were neat. ew.

Our thoughts and prayers will be with you.

HH I'm so sorry to hear about your aunt passing on, and your little boy having an accident, I do hope all turns out well. And everyone is right, you can't blame yourself for this, its impossible to watch little ones 24/7, but I can understand the parental need to feel that way. Sounds like what you both need is some TLC right now, a hug and some prayer, so sending good thoughts and prayer your way :D Keep us posted as to how things are going. Here's an angel to watch over you ^i^

Haunted Horseman wrote:Hey Guys,
The last 14 hours have been terrible. First I learned that my aunt passed away and then last night my son michael had a pretty bad accident which resulted in me spending a could portion of the evening in the emergency room. I really blame myself for this and it is killing me. When I wasn't looking, he climbed on an end table in our living room slipped, fell and his chin it the end table, cause his upper tooth go through his lower lip and causing huge gash. He had to have several stitches and worst part is that he may have to have a tooth removed as a result. This little guy is not even 2 yet and may have to go through this surgery. I'm really praying we can avoid this.

I gotta tell you, it was the worst experience of my life see him strapped down and having to help hold him in place on the operating table while they stitched up his lip. He was screaming Dadda, Dadda, pleading that I could save him from this experience and there was nothing I could do. It just broke my heart. Tears were just pouring from my eyes.
I'm sorry guys for laying this on you, I'm just hoping some postive thoughts and prayers will help.
Thanks so much.
I understand that was rough. But by doing what you did, you were helping him. He didn't understand and that hurt. But you have gotta shake it off and just spend time with him, hug him, and know he'll be okay.

Awww HH I am so sorry to hear of the loss of your Aunt and of your little boy's accident! 62 is very young to go, you can possibly find some comfort in the knowledge that she isn't in pain anymore.

As for your little boy.. it's so hard to see kids go through things like that but hopefully he will learn from it. When my mum was 6, she climbed up onto a chair to reach one of the high kitchen cupboards. She put one foot on a towel rail to steady herself.. and the towel rail snapped. She fell to the floor head-first, smashing her front 4 teeth out. She's had false teeth there since but she's certainly a more careful person because of it! :P

Hi everyone, I'm happy to say he is doing much better. He does still look like he went a few rounds with Apollo Creed, but that will heal with time. But the good news is the latest from the doctor, he won't have the have his tooth removed. I'm so relieved. I want thank everyone for their positive thoughts and prayers, I'm convinced they were a big help. :D

I'm so sorry to hear about your bad times. I hope you start to feel better about your son. These things seem to happen to kids at least once. I've had to send both my kids to the emergency rooms for stuff just like that. it makes your heart break. but when he starts feeling better you will too. And when something goes wrong it all seems to happen at once. But you should relize it will get better and good things will start to happen. I'll pray for you and you family too and I hope you feel better really soon.

Well, it's been a very emotional time around our home for quite some time now. As many of you might remember my hubby had started working at the New North America's Largest Mine that is under construction this spring, a multi-Billion Dollar project. Well today he recieved an email plus its been on the news that they announced today that they are stopping Construction and CLosing the Mine for an undetermined amount of time as it's been determined that the costs of development have far exceeded what was projected   So now our life is once again in limbo with what looks like hubby being out of a job that had been the first glimpse of hope of us in quite some time  He's checking his emails as they need all employees who are home on rotation to check in to keep posted, they're not sure what the total outcome of this devistating news means for everyone just yet. Hubby is due to return to camp on December 5th.
I'm trying to hold onto faith that some good news will come around soon, but we could really use some prayers and positive energies, thanks a million :D
