walls?

Post by trinkasoarus » Tue Jun 24, 2008 6:13 pm

Anyone have any EASY ways to make walls look like castles? I am not artistically minded so alot of drawing is out. Maybe a cheap place to buy them? Any help is appreciated :)

If you mean look like castle walls (stone) take shoebox lids, spray paint them with a couple shades of flat gray and hang them up (length-ways) with double sided REMOVEABLE scotch tape. Test a spot to see how the tape reacts on your paint/wall paper.

If you use permanent tape you're in trouble!

You probably don't have a rooms worth of shoe boxes so you can cut out rectangles from old boxes. That way you can make them different sizes for a more random look, it just takes longer.

Use Scene Setters! They are plastic you use as wallpaper. They have all kinds of scenes like a spooky forest or a graveyard. (and the castle wall yes) They have things you can add to it too like ghosts or gravestones. You have to get these! The only scene setters I have are ones that look like shadows of hanging skeletons. All you do is tape or stick them on them on the wall with sticky putty. (don't know if that is spelled right)

Something else you can do with walls is to use this fellow's idea to make them look like the drywall/plaster is all busted out.

You can get scene setters a lot of stores at Halloween time. Or you can get them off the internet.

has anyone used black lights with scene setters? i am thinking on doing both the scene setters and the foam walls, and i am working on a scene in my garage, not to go into but just for viewing as one passes by, there will be black lights, a dude in an electric chair (since i learned how to do really cool lighting stuff from big scream tv and using my light o rama. 1st year on all this really creepy stuff :)
