Andy, PLEASE tell me you're NOT serious...my five-year-old autistic son is going next month...it's a field trip...oh man, I'm scared shite-less now.

I myself haven't been to the fair yet. I see it advertised everywhere but the past two years I didn't want to go because I was afraid I'd get lost.

School for my middle guy started yesterday. :) It was 98 degrees out. Yikes.

How I wish we had autumn here!!!!

You don't really go to the fair, do you? Too many gang-bangers for my comfort.

I don't know about SoCal but up here...well?

You only hear about things that happen after sunset so unless he's going with a group a vampires I'd say it's safe.

Oh cr*p, he IS going with a group of vampires. It's the Annual School Monster Field Day.

Okay, just kidding.

I'll find out from my hubby what it's like down here...but they'd be leaving the fair to return to school before 1:00 PM. I think probably at 12:30 PM-ish? I think I'm going to ask to be a chaperon for the trip now...

Mel: eat a huge cone of cotton candy for me!

RDM: Only if you let them. NEVER hesitate to stick up for yourself, just do it in a civilized manner.

Like how?

I do not think there will be any bullies anyways. I have not seen any there in middle school.

But I will have to go back to that crappy classroom for autistic people that I would love to get out of!! Even if I do have aspurgers I can do fine out of that special ed classroom!!

I am not as terrified as a was a week ago.

Well, wish me luck!! Thank you all for your positive words!! :D

But it's not autumn yet around here... it's still hot just like summer! ;) I have rainy week! :?
Oh, well don't worry. :) It's not officially autumn anyway no matter what until the 21st, I think. It was a tradition growing up on the east coast to buy tons of "school clothes" that usually consisted of warmer clothing--like sweaters. On the first day, of course we'd want to wear our new duds...and we came home SOAKED in sweat. It was always hot at the beginning of the school year.

But the promise of autumn was just around the corner and it was always exciting!
Tell me about it. lol. last year in late sept it rained which was amazing. It can vary in the month of sept when it comes to weather.

Cool! That happened to me long time ago when I was in high school, some teachers used to play and joking around the classes. I really liked them very much. Some are retired like a few years ago (what I heard in the past) and never seen them again. Well, right now, some children told me that there are some mean teacher at school not like mine long time ago! I was shocked! But, that's good to hear that you liked that funny teacher! :D

Well, I had an English teacher that was very strictly and I really disliked her! For example, if I bring a pack of cigarettes right in my pocket and if she see, she will tell me to go to the principal's office! Imagine that??? But I didn't smoke in school or the classroom, even in the bathroom! My school permitted anyone over 18 to smoke outside only! Jeez! When I went to see the principal, I already explained everything, so he dismissed me and told me to keep cigarettes or tobacco products in your bookbag or leave it in the locker. Whew!
